The Translated State
shall now make o"t what partic"lar and pri'ate manifestation hath opened in this
matter, to (e agreea(le to the script"re record. f there (e nothing of this great change to
happen "pon some here"nto especially elected, till the great )eneral Day of J"dgment,
when the 'isi(le elements shall pass away and the world all (roken "p* then all flesh will
in it expire, and none (e preser'ed to meet +hrist, in his distinct and personal re'elation
and coming, which will (e shown in its time.
,"t the spirit affirms as a tr"th, that (efore this, he will come in his Kingdom to some,
and so open their own hea'ens as he will descend and ascend in and from them, till they
shall know the great -ystery of Translation o"t of the earth into the 'ery hea'ens, where
.a"l and John were, since +hrist ascension, (oth ca"ght "p in spirit, and saw his glory,
and heard the 'oice of his mo"th.
.a"l, the /postle, did not at that time, know himself in a mortal form, tho"gh after he
came down into it again, he had s"ch a di'ine sense of immortal clothing, that he
desired to reach the 0es"rrection State, and to ha'e mortality swallowed "p in life.
/nd whether or not he reached this mark in his day, or the rest of the /postles, we ha'e
no 'isi(le record to inform "s, and so can (ring no precedent from them* which is not to
st"m(le "s who are now not to look (ack ("t forward, and to expect this perfect thing,
which can change this corr"pti(le in incorr"pti(leness.
,"t the great 1"estion is 23E45 66666666 2hether (efore +hrist!s 'isi(le appearance7
6666666 That is the thing to (e sol'ed, which, according as ha'e recei'ed, so shall
demonstrate it, not only as a pri'ate re'elation, ("t from a script"re which admits of s"ch
an interpretation 666 'i8. 0e'elation &%9# :and saw the so"ls of them that were
(eheaded for the witness of Jes"s, and for the word of )od, and which had not
worshipped the (east, neither his image, neither had recei'ed his mark "pon their
foreheads, or in their hands* and they li'ed and reigned with +hrist a tho"sand years.:
4ow consider, here is a state pec"liar to some that were passed from or o'er death, into
immortalility of life. /nd they are made .riests, to go in and o"t of the most 3oly and
inward Ta(ernacle. /nd Kings to reign o'er the earth, as they ha'e (een kept "nder and
reigned o'er (y the earth.
know this has (een generally, (y most that expect +hrist! personal coming in a distinct
glorio"s h"manity, to manifest his Kingdom in this principle. There is a great contro'ersy
a(o"t it* some (elie'ing that this reign will (e (efore the fa(ric of this principle is to (e

Kingdom, so that time shall (e no more.
shall not take "pon me to decide anything of it, more than is gi'en me (y a good hand
to know. ha'e learned to interfere with no one!s light, ("t to wait immediately "pon the
springing testimony of Jes"s* who th"s opened the 'ision which John saw. <irst9 2ho
these persons were that sho"ld reign in and o'er the earth.
They were those that had s"ffered their head life to (e taken from them, not (y an
o"tward 'isi(le martyrdom, ("t (y c"tting off that head in which the serpent had
introd"ced the whole working motion of sin and earthliness. These (eing con'inced that
this kind of spirit"al martyrdom m"st (e "ndergone, for the 2ord and Testimony!s sake,
that so thro"gh this internal death, they might cease henceforth to (ear the image and
mark of the ,east in themsel'es, or to pay homage to it in others. 4o way to (e free ("t
(y falling "pon the 'ery head life thereof, so that the so"l (eing separated therefrom,
and (eing ac1"itted from the gross e'il effects of a (ody of sin, may stand as a naked
and a(stract spirit.
S"ch as these, were shown to me, to (e of the <irst 0es"rrection, whom no mortal death
co"ld ha'e power o'er. This is that Sinless 3oly .riesthood, that will proceed ,E<;0E
+30ST!S =S,LE /..E/0/4+E, and whereas it is said they shall reign with +hrist,
that is, with his life of the same p"rity and power, and s"fficiency to act and do all great
and mighty wonders, as if he was manifested "pon the earth in his own distinct person of
glory.
The key of the go'ernment shall (e entr"sted and laid "pon the sho"lders of those who
are dead, and risen with +hrist their head. These are to p"t on their spirit"al (odies. t
was gi'en me to "nderstand that there is a threefold coming of +hrist. 3is first coming
was in the flesh. /fter which, (efore he left the world, he engaged that he wo"ld come
again in spirit to his own that were in it.
This has (een accomplished. This was his second coming. >pon which we ha'e li'ed
and spent "pon this stock of life, e'er since his depart"re. mean s"ch as ha'e with
great seeking o(tained this worthy gift. This the /postles had more richly and
a("ndantly, as to the manifold workings (y powers and gifts, then any since.
,"t they were still looking o"t for his next coming* for (y his spirit, he was to make meet
and ready* that the inward spirit, with his mind, will and senses, sho"ld (e all internally
transformed* as the 4ew Testament r"ns m"ch "pon it, to (e fo"nd sinless, spotless and
(lameless against the coming of the Lord.
/nd what is to (e done at his third coming, ("t to change o"r 'ile (odies, and to fashion
them like "nto his own glorio"s (ody, (y that power which shall open the element, the
eternal nat"re which the celestial (ody shall e'ermore consist of. +hrist!s third coming
will (e to this p"rpose, to redeem (odies, o"t from all those e'il e'ents that sin (ro"ght
in, so that e'ery spirit may come to ha'e its own nati'e (ody, and the spirit may no
longer draw one way, and the flesh another.
/nd s"rely that saying will fore'er cease, :To will is present, ("t power is wanting to
perform,: for all power will (e gi'en to his saints, as it was to the Lord Jes"s 666 /nd as
Daniel foresaw the dominion sho"ld (e gi'en to the saints of the -ost 3igh.
These are those that will (e the p"re and wise 'irgins that are all ready as the ,ride of
the Lam(, to meet him at his last general call and tr"mpet so"nd to them, which shall (e
at his third coming 66666 2ho shall not anticipate the descent of those who ha'e
departed in the faith, and are now in the in'isi(le -o"nt ?ion. They with +hrist, shall
appear again in this principle, in spirits, and (odies celestial.
Then will (e the great o'ert"rn in this 'isi(le world, for those 4ew 3ea'ens and earth to
(e known 6666 and the old 'isi(le world, hea'ens, and elements to pass away, and all
flesh with them to (e cons"med. <or here will (e no place for terrestrial (odies when this
great day will come which shall ("rn as an o'en. This is that general conflagration that
the /postle .eter speak of* @@@@@
3ere the fiery indignation will make the terri(le dissol"tion in the whole 'isi(le world, and
all those inha(itants who are in lo'e and friendship with it, as it stood in the sin and
c"rse. This will (e a Dreadf"l Day to o'ertake s"ch, for o"r Lord foretelleth great distress
will (e as ne'er was. ,"t on whom will it come to h"rt7 ;nly them that are fo"nd o"t of
the /rk.
<or m"st let yo" know from that spirit that re'ealeth things to come, that (efore the last
general day of A"dgment shall come, this del"ge shall (e at +hrist!s third coming, /nd
/nother -ighty 4oah Shall ,e <o"nd, who, in and (y faith, shall raise and ("ild an /rk,
which no flames can de'o"r, no more than the waters co"ld pre'ail "pon the first /rk.
EliAah, with his fiery chariot will also come (efore this great and nota(le day of +hrist!s
third coming, to show, to some, the way of escape o"t of this corporeal state, into that
other principle, the one p"re eternal element, from when the Lord, the -ighty )od and
Sa'ior, with all his Saints, n 3is Time 2ill ,e 0e'ealed. ,"t know there will (e in this
latter day, when +hrist shall appear, s"ch an /rk, that will (e all refined gold, for a
har(or, and as a +ity, "pon which the name of e'erlasting life, power and might, will (e
written* where"nto the tr"e wise, and pr"dent will take sanct"ary, as foreseeing the
destr"ction that will come "pon all flesh.
Therefore, those who as 4oah, are warned of this s"rprisal day, will take instr"ctions
from the Lord!s mo"th how to prepare this celestial /rk, and to (ring in s"ch as are
willing to wait in tr"th, in this (ody of the golden /rk, 3a'ing ."t ;ff The Sins ;f The
<lesh* and as p"re, naked, a(stracted spirits, are free from all entanglements of the
earthly life.
These are here ready to (e recei'ed, and to (e clothed "pon with this ho"se, that can
stand in the midst of all ("rnings. S"ch a Spo"se and ,ride will 'erily (e waiting for the
,ridegroom, in a .erfect =irgin Life, separate and redeemed from among men, as
minding no other thing ("t to (e trimming their lamps, and making themsel'es all ready
in p"re and white ro(es, wherein no spot of poll"tion may (e fo"nd.
<or 'erily, the hea'ens shall no longer contain the Lord +hrist, then till the Temple ,ody
and /rk are re("ilt for his presence, and till his saints look o"t for his appearance. <or
this is the post"re which the saints of old la(ored to p"t themsel'es into, "pon the hope
of his personal coming to take to him the whole dominion, and to deli'er "p the kingdom
to his <ather, all in transparent p"rity* e'ery s"(Aect in it attired and p"t into a s"ita(le
ha(it for immediate entrance into the inward and most holy Jer"salem.
The tr"e and infalli(le Testator witnesseth that there will (e a translation at +hrist!s third
coming, (efore his fo"rth and last coming to A"dgment. <or these first (orn spirits will
ha'e power in them, (y his inward rising (ody, to fig"re o"t a 'isi(le one, agreea(le to
the Lord!s own (ody, or else they co"ld not lift "p their heads with Aoy, when he shall
come to transm"te this principle.
Know therefore for a certainty, that the Lord will ha'e a p"re and spotless +h"rch "pon
the earth, that (efore the general day of A"dgment, shall ha'e the key of power, yea of
the transm"ting power too, as all ethereal to ascend and descend. /nd they will (e in
s"ch p"rity and separation from all of this corr"pt element, that they will fre1"ently (e
admitted to the 3oly +ircle of Deity, to know the celestial affairs that (elong to their own
Kingdom. This is here declared, that many hereat may (e con'erted, and wait in a
de'oted life from the world.
<or whoe'er they are who shall f"lly agree to this, and totally depart from the whole life,
and li'e in an a(sol"te 'irgin state, knowing henceforth nothing more according to the
first man, that degenerated from his +reator* certainly know this, that witho"t s"ch a f"ll
lea'e (e taken on this worldly con'ersation, there will (e no part for them in this matter.
<or this life of the 0es"rrection doth ne'er spring "ntil the earthly passes away.
;h these are hard sayings indeed, the losing of life, that we may not taste at all death.
2here in this age shall we find fi'e wise =irgins, that ha'e parted with all things that are
drossy and impedimental, for )od7 /nd who go on making the p"re ,ody /rk, that in it
they may (e a(le to mo'e "pon the fiery element* who ha'e here"nto disposed and
gi'en themsel'es "p to (e in election for this high, holy, and +hrist dignified state.
<aith is that great and mighty energy which may effect for "s this translation. Therefore
we are incited to cherish the spirit of it, and keep "p with all care and tenderness,
considering that (y faith Enoch was translated so that he saw not death. t has 'ario"s
p"rifying properties from whence will also come mighty powerf"l acting for the
accomplishment of the Last Day!s 2onders.
Th"s ha'e (een "nexpectedly carried o"t "pon this s"(Aect, wherein ha'e o(ser'ed
the 'ision Bthe TeachingC "pon which all this mysterio"s and deep matter appeared. The
3and of Lo'e and .ower which g"ided me to record it in writing, may ha'e some ser'ice
for it in its time, yea, for those who may happily find this weighty Transm"ting Stone. /nd
may the worth thereof (e so great and 'al"a(le in their eyes, as with "s they may not
think m"ch to s"ffer and end"re loss of life, mean that life which consists in the
friendship, honor, pleas"re, and riches of this e'il world.

worth losing and lea'ing all, and waiting together in a p"re life of intro'ersion, o"t of the
