Professional proficiency, and qualifications

Assisted with refrigerator temperature checks, maintenance, restocking supply,
organizing supply storage, glucose maintenance and maintaining quality control as
acting shift leader of the ward. Instructed 5 sailors in the use of the EKG machine to
further develop patient care in 7 med/tele Certified in BLS and basic dysrhythmia.
Certified in the Medication Administration 6 week course for enlisted service
members. This course certification allows me to go above the allotted standard scope
of practice for corpsman at FBCH. Assists nursing care team in passing medication,
while verifying patient information, correct medication, route, dose, time. Helps
maintaining floor and patient room cleanliness. Helps maintain proper documentation
in Essentris for patient care, vitals, treatment, assessments and Intake/output. Serves
actively as 1:1 Psychiatric sitter on ICU, 7 med/tele. Monitored patient safety and
care, allowing for a safe environment free of harm. Instructed 5 corpsmen in the use of
Essentris.

Currently acting as a Unit Practice Counsel (UPC) member for 7 med/tele. Being an
active member I help in creating education materials for the floors patients, Ialso
represent all corpsman on 7 med/tele. I have served as the floors UPC member since
the 7

of May 2013 until I depart from 7 med/tele

What have you done for yourself in terms of professional growth and what have you
done for the Company lately?

Actively studying and preparing for advancement exam. As a primary duty corpsman I
assist the nursing staff, LPN staff, and fellow corpsmen in the treatment and care of
the patients we receive on the floor. Expanded my educational horizons by floating to
other departments. Assisted in the Intensive care unit and surgical ward. Was
instructed in operation of front desks, recording of visitors, answered questions,
patient education, triaging, and carrying out the plan of the day. I preceptor 3
corpsman and 1 CAN. Was an instrumental part of the Joint Vaccination Team. The
total amount of vaccines in the Capmed area, we completed a total of 11,118 total
vaccinations around the D.C area in a matter of two months time.

Provided transportation for multiple female corpsmen reporting to Fort Belvoir. Aids
sailors daily in transportation to work and physical training to ensure mission
readiness, timeliness and flawlessness.

Active member and leader within the Fort Belvoir Lions club. I was recently elected to the office of Lion tamer and am currently holding the
office of Information Technology Chairman within the club. I have also attended multiple volunteering events to include: Boys and girls club,
Bingo nights for the elderly, Eyeglass recycling center. I also will be representing the Fort Belvoir Lions in the memorial Day parade held in
Washington D.C. Due to my work in the Fort Belvoir Lions myself and 9 other of my lions where chosen to be in a video made for the
purpose of being shown all around the world for recruitment and retention efforts in Lions. The video will also be shown to a crowd of over
25,000 lions at the International Lions Convention in Toronto Canada in July.







FUTURE DUTIES/SCHOOLS DESIRED:
What do you want to do next? Think next pay grade or big-time assignments!
My desires are to achieve and take away as much as possible from Medical/Telemetry and will continue to take and complete any auxlerlery
course or assailment the floor asks me complete. I feel there is always more to learn and I am lucky to be stationed in a hospital with so much
medical diversity and am looking forward to using it to my advantage.
