This method statement covers the preparation, mixing and
application of MC-Bauchemies Solvent Containing Acrylic
Protective System - Betonflair CT

00.02 Additional information

The method statement should be read in conjunction with the
relevant technical data sheets, materials safety data sheets and
the manufacturers latest published literature.

00.03 Applicators

Applicators trained and certified by the manufacturer as being
competent to execute such work as described in Section 00.01
will be preferred.

All materials shall be stored in secure areas and protected from
changing weather.

Sufficient cotton waste should be made available to wipe off
spills.

Vertical surface to be treated for cracks and durability is to be
indicated well in advance.Safety precaution to be considered.
In case of heights workers to have
proper safety belts/ safety shoes/hand
gloves/helmets,etc.
05.00 Application procedure

Concrete surface should be at least 21 days old. The surface
must be clean and free from all loose particles, dirt, dust, oil or
other contaminants. The amount of cement laitance present
should not be above normal. Joints in brickwork should be
finished flush. Incompatible or unsound existing coats must be
completely removed. Uneven substrates and bug holes should
be finished with a fine polymer cement mortar from our
Nafuquick range, which must be applied according to their
respective application procedures.
Application of Betonflair CT on prepared
and primed Surface

The Betonflair CT system normally consists of a priming coat
Emcephob SX, followed by one or two coats of Betonflair CT.
Application should be thorough and efficient with a few
interruptions as possible. Different color shades of Betonflair
CT can be mixed together. It is also possible to mix Betonflair
CT(colored) with Betonflair CT (transparent) in order to achieve
slightly pigmented coatings for certain applications.

All Betonflair products delivered are ready-to-use. Before
application stir thoroughly, and then apply by roller, brush, or
appropriate airless spraying devices.
