Aluminum Conductor,
Steel Reinforced
Construction
Aluminum alloy 1350-H19 wires, concentrically stranded about a steel
core. Core wire for ACSR is available with class A, B or C galvanizing;
"aluminized" aluminum coated (AZ); or aluminum-clad (AW). Additional
corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the
core or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
Specications
Meets or exceeds the following ASTM specications:
B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1350-H19 for Electrical Purposes
B-231 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded
B-232 Aluminum Conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded, Coated Steel Reinforced for ACSR
B-341 Aluminum-Coated Steel Core Wire for ACSR/AZ
B-498 Zinc-Coated Steel Core Wire for ACSR
B-802 Zinc-5% Aluminum-Mischmetal Alloy-Coated Steel Core Wire for ACSR
Applications
Used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal
strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding enables desired strength to be achieved without sacricing
ampacity.

Type W Portable Power Cable
90C, 2kV
Construction
Manufactured with rope-lay stranded, bunched members, annealed copper conductors.
A polyester or paper tape separates the copper conductors from the EP rubber insula-
tion. The insulated conductors are assembled round with llers as needed. The cable
is covered with a black CPE rubber jacket. The jacket may be applied in two layers.
Two-layer jackets are reinforced by a braid of synthetic material. The reinforcing is
between the layers.
Specications
Conductors are manufactured in accordance with ASTM B-33 and B-172
Made in accordance with ICEA S-75-381 - Portable and Power Feeder Cables
for Use in Mines and Similar Locations
MSHA accepted, P-7K-123049 LR27151
UL Listed as Type RHH-RHW-2 per UL 44
CSA Approved
Meets FT-5 Flame Test
Applications
For use in mining machines, locomotives, power supply leads on A.C. welders, motor leads, entertainment,
generator leads and grounding cable at continuous conductor temperature of 90C. Type W cables also are
