Ans: There are several diverse reasons for attending universities. Some of the important ones
are getting experience, career preparation and acquiring knowledge for cognitive development.

Generally, the students studying in a particular university are from diverse cultural and social
backgrounds. University environment provides them with an opportunity to interact and make
new friends and relationships. In addition, this interaction also helps them to understand each
other cultural and social values. This is probably one of the reasons why different countries
encourage cultural scholarships and students exchange programs at university level. These
kinds of programs bring people from various backgrounds closer to each other and instill
harmony and friendship among them. In short, universities provide the students with a
platform for making new bonds, friends and relationships.
Moreover, the universities also contribute in career preparation of an individual. The
universities polish presentation and report writing skills of students and teach them important
technical knowledge in their relevant field of study. The technical knowledge and experience
gained from university undoubtedly helps in job interview and tests. As a result, a university
graduate is more likely to get a job with higher salary than a person who had never attended a
university.
Lastly, acquisition of knowledge is one of the major reasons why some people attend university.
The knowledge enhances cognitive development and mental ability of students. It helps them
to effectively tackle different problems in their routine life and also make them much more
aware about their particular field of study. For example an aerospace engineer will be able to
interpret why a particular airplane crashed and would be able to suggest remedial actions more
accurately and comprehensively as compared to someone who has never studied aerospace at
university level. Hence, universities serve as a keystone in the life of researches and scholars.

the reasons of attending universities are diverse but all are important enough to encourage
people to attend university.
