FOR CONFIRMATION AND HIGH SCHOOL

2014-2015





Dear Parents,

Confirmation is the final stage of initiation into the Church. With the sacrament comes the grace
from God to embrace the Faith more fully and to be a witness for Christ in the world. We call
this Discipleship - following the Lord more closely and allowing him to shape our lives.

Confirmation classes, years 1 and 2, are held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 8:00 PM.

Year 2 of Confirmation also includes Saturday workshops throughout the catechetical year and a
mandatory retreat. We have tried to make the program varied and interesting in ways that
appeal to young people in their mid teens. This process is a challenge, as is anything truly
worthwhile. Discipleship calls both, the student and their family, to a commitment and that
commitment starts at the very beginning.

Please read the following dates and requirements to ensure a successful start to the year:

Tuesday, September 30
th
- Mandatory Student & Parent Meeting at 6:30 PM. (English speaking
parents will be in the St. Francis Hall and Spanish speaking parents in the Serra Center.)

Tuesday, October 7
th
First Night of Classes

Tuesday, February 3
rd
All required documents due: Baptism certificate, First Communion
certificate, and Sponsor Permission Form. Failure to turn in documents by the due date might
impact you childs ability to be Confirmed.

Friday, February 27
th
All tuition is due. (See back page for details).

All matters concerning Confirmation will be presented at the mandatory parents meetings.

Registration and Tuition Information for
For the Confirmation Faith Formation Program
2014-2015


Confirmation is a two year High School program. Preparation may begin in the 9
th
grade.
Students must be at least 15 years old to receive Confirmation. Situations can be evaluated in
the event of attendance to a Catholic School. A copy of the teens Baptism and First Communion
certificate is required (unless the student is in the process to receive their First Communion as
well).

The following are the costs that apply to the 2014-2015 Program:

The cost for the first year of Confirmation is $60.00, the regular tuition amount for all grade
levels.

The Registration fee for the second year of Confirmation is $175.00. This fee is based covers
catechetical expenses as well as costs of retreats and workshops.

We ask for the full amount at registration but the amount can also be made in payments. You
can charge the full amount with a major credit card, or you can make cash/check payments.
Cash payments require $80.00 first payment with the final payment made by February 27
th
.

Confirmation classes are held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 8:00 PM. The full calendar will be
published on a separate page and presented to you at the parent orientation meeting. It will
