direct to Beijing. Passing from Europe into Asia at the Ural mountains you connue
onwards deep into Siberia, past some simply amazing scenery and the awesome Lake
Baikal, down through Mongolia and the Gobi desert before arriving in Beijing.

Day 1 Arrival
Arrival in Moscow to the 2
Zolotoi Kolos hotel, which is
located just outside the city
centre between the heart of the
city and its sports venues, next
to the ex Soviet Achievements
Exhibion Park (VDNKh), the
Russian Cosmonaut and Space
Museum and is also within a
couple of minutes easy walk
from the nearest metro staon.
Day 2 Moscow: Free Day
Today is when the adventure
starts you have a free day to
explore, discover and experience
everything the Russian capital
has to oer.
Day 3 Depart Moscow
The majority
of the day is free, to allow you
to relax and explore Moscow,
or take an oponal tour before
packing and preparing to check
out of the hotel by 19:00. Then
you will be provided with a
transfer to the railway staon.
At 21:35, your train which is
train #4, a high quality Chinese
interconnental train departs
for Beijing!

Day 4 Travelling through
European Russia
Here you will spend all day
on the train, heading past the
cies of the Golden Ring, the
great industrial city of Kirov and
nally the ex-military city of
Perm Before crossing through
the Ural Mountains and into
Asia.
Day
5 Venturing into Siberia
Passing through the previously
forbidden Soviet city of
Yekaterinburg, you will spend all
day on the train while it leaves
the eastern foothills of the
Ural mountains and heads for
Novosibirsk the largest city in
Siberia, well known as an oasis
of civilizaon deep within the
region.
Day 6 Heading into Asia
Spending all day on the train,
running through the seemingly
limitless tracks and endless
forests of Siberia, you will pass
the Altai region, cross the River
Yenisei at Krasnoyarsk and head
deep into Asia.

Trans-Monglian Express
Day 7 Lake Baikal and crossing
the Mongolian border
Travelling through Irkutsk and
then past the amazing of Lake
Baikal, you will then spend the
day on the train connuing on
to the mountains that border
Mongolia. Leaving the last
major Russian city at Ulan-Ude
the train heads onwards to the
Mongolian capital of Ulan-Bator.
Day 8 Through the Gobi
Desert and passing the Chinese
border
Aer a brief stop at the
Mongolian capital, you will
spend your last day on the train
as it connues on through the
Gobi desert. Later in the evening
the train will reach the Chinese
border before heading o for
Beijing.
Day 9 Arrive in Beijing
Throughout the morning and
aernoon, you will pass through
rural China and mountainous
river valleys, past the amazing
Great Wall of China to nally
arrive in the Chinese capital
Beijing at 14:04 where this part
of the journey ends
and the next begins!

First class is a private cabin for two people with two beds while second class is a private cabin for four people
with two sets of upper and lower beds. Please note that rst class cabins are in very limited supply on the trains
and where it is not possible to obtain this for you we will book all four berths of a second class cabin for your
sole use at no extra cost.

What will happen next?
We will contact you to conrm the tour details, conrm the total price and make arrangements for the deposit
to be paid.
At day 90 before your tour starts we will send you a tour update and a reminder to pay the balance within the
next 30 days. Then, by day 60 we will send you your tour informaon pack, help and give advice about any
required visas and then it is simply a maer of counng down the days unl you arrive in Moscow... and it
begins!
Compleng the applicaon form
The applicaon form is fairly straighorward, though just to clarify a few points:
1. All dates should be in the standard DAY/MONTH /YEAR format.
2. Group size is the inial total number of travellers in your group and Group name is oponal, it can be
used to help give it a meaningful reference if you choose.
3. Select a preferred start date from the ones shown in the inerary and an alternave one if you want in
case your preferred date is not available.
4. The lead traveller is the person our team will contact in the rst instance for the group, unless there are
specic arrangements being made with individual travellers. If all of the travellers are under 18 then this
secon should be completed by a parent or guardian.
5. The traveller details should be completed for each person travelling and then they, or the lead traveller
on their behalf, sign the form at Q22 to conrm the details are correct and that they agree to the terms
and condions. If the traveller is under 18 then their parent or guardian should sign on their behalf.
6. Q15, we cannot guarantee smoking rooms but if you indicate you are a smoker, we will request this.
7. Q16, if you want to extend your trip in St Petersburg and / or Beijing, and then let us know here.
8. Q17, if you have a preferred roommate to share any twin/double rooms with then let us know here.
