Suggested Answer for Catch Us if You Can.
In the novel Catch Us If You Can, Rorys decision to get his Granda out of Rachnadar
and escape so they can be together has far-reaching consequences. This is an important
decision for a young boy to make but he does it. His plan to stay with Granda means that they
had to be on the move constantly. They, first,go to the caravan where they spend a few happy
days. Once the police know their location, they are on the run. Rory and Grandas
determination never waver even with the police looking for them or the media spotlights their
escape.After meeting many helpful people along the way, they get away to the hill behind
Normas house. The climb to the top is too much for Granda.Rory fears the worse and get
help when he cannot wake Granda up. The police and ambulance arrive to help.However,
there is also a man with them who Rory learns is his father.Rorys decision leads to his
reunion with his father. It is also a reunion for Granda with his son and the opportunity to
meet his daughter in- law and granddaughters. In the end, Rory and Granda live near Rorys
father and his new family which helps to mend old relationships and form new ones.
Importantly, Rory and Granda get to stay together.
