Article 3 Products of Investigation

The Contractor shall, in accordance with the time frame specified in the Contract, provide data
as required by the Client from time to time during execution of the Works and the Report to the
Client. The following information for boreholes should be included in the geological
Investigation report:

A.1 amount of bore holes .
A.2 date and time of start and termination of boring a hole.
A.3 existing ground level at the location of bore hole.
A.4 type and diameter of drill used.
A.5 description, identification and depth of different strata Encountered.
A.6 depth at which spt (stand penetration test) conducted and the corresponding Spt(n)
values.
A.7 core recovery data.
A.8 rock samples collected at different depths and types.
A.9 ground water detail.
A.10 speed of boring at different depth.
A.11 level at which bore terminated.

B. The mechanical properties of soil such as: moisture content.
specific gravity.
grain size analysis.
liquid limit and plastic limit.

C. The relevant earth quake design parameters such as intensity of earthquake and Response
spectrum characteristic value shall be provided which can meet the requirements of the design.

D. Laboratory tests on soil samples shall be conducted to evaluate followings:
Consolidation test.
Direct shear test/unconfined compressive strength.
Compressive strength of rock.
Density of specific gravity of rock.
Modules of elasticity.
Free expansion ration of rock.
Sulphate and chloride content in soil samples

F. The drilling column chart and geological section plan which shows the soil layers
thickness, rock surface depth and mechanics characters shall be furnished.

G. To judge the soil category and site category and determine whether the site and soil has
bad impact on seismic protection of buildings, sandy soil seismic liquefaction and the
elimination measures. To indicate the danger area which is not fit for construction and providing
related treatment measures.

H. When the foundation of a building locates on different geological area, the needed
information for settlement calculation and the impact to foundation settlement shall be provided.
The common used and suitable soil treatment method shall be furnished at the mean time.

I. To give a suggestion on Pile type (bored pile or prefabricated pile), length and bearing
stratum, as well as the data for calculating the pile bearing capacity, settlement and construction
methods( data of two types of pile at least shall be listed for option). The uniaxial compressive
strength etc shall be known for bedrock bearing stratum.

J. Soil Investigation Company shall carry out the plate bearing test of soil at site and record
the test process and provide the conclusion and date.
K. During construction, soil investigation company shall send professional personnel to site
inspection of foundation subsoil after soil excavation of foundation pit and shall determine
whether the geological condition is able to fulfill the design requirement and sign on the
inspection record see inspecrion record as attached format.

The Contractor shall provide six copies of such data and Report to the Client. .



The Contractor promise, To submit the report and the report data is responsible for all of
the results.
