Gynaecomastia (Male Breast Reduction Surgery)

Enlarged male breasts, also known as gynaecomastia, can cause emotional discomfort and
impair your self confidence. It is a common condition affecting 60-70 percent of males
sometime during teenage years. Mostly these breasts are relatively small, regress
spontaneously in a couple of years and do not become a cause of concern. Gynaecomastia is
a cause of concern when male breasts become too large and start showing through clothing.

Gynaecomastia is characterized by:

Excess localized fat

• Excess glandular tissue development

• A combination of both excess fat and glandular tissue
• Gynaecomastia may present unilaterally (one breast) or bilaterally (both breasts)

liposuction. This procedure can include areola
