Further Processing of SIMATIC Documentation
lf SIMATIC documentation is incorporated in customerrelated documentation and if this
documentation is to be processed further, care must be taken to keep the Safety-related
Guidelines in their original form. In all other cases, the contractual agreements regarding
license conditions for documentation supplied on data media shall apply.
Supplementary Conditions for Supplying Docurnentation on Data Media
1. The Customer is supplied with the documentation specified in the (this) confirmation of
order (subsequently called Documentation) on the data medium stated therein. The
General License Conditions for Software Products for Automation shall apply to Do-
cumentation as far as no other agreements have been made. Paragraphs 3.1, 3.9 and
6.1 of the above-named conditions shall also apply to the Documentation.
2. Regarding the documentation forming the basis for the technical documentation of his
machines equipped with SIMATIC programmable controllers from Siemens and the
software described in the Documentation, the Customer is granted for an unlimited
period of time the non-exclusive right to partly modify, copy with or without changes
and grant the right of use, either on paper or data medium, to third parties as part of
this technical documentation (subsequently called Machine documentation).
3. The Customer takes the sole responsibility for marketing the unmodified or modified
documentation included in the Machine documentation.
4. The Customer shall not remove any copyright statements of Siemens from the Docu-
mentation. When modifying the Documentation, however, he shall point out in appro-
priate form, such as an additional copyright marking, that the Documentation has been
changed. The Customer is not entitled to use the trademark SIEMENS and shall re-
move the trademark from any section copied from the Documentation. When using
trademarks of Siemens in the Machine documentation, the customer shall identify
them in appropriate form as trademarks of Siemens AG (for example, by means of the
note SIMATIC is a registered trademark of Siemens AG).
