ANNOUNCEMENT
REGULATIONS
THE GREAT KFC TREASURE HUNT 2011 is promoted and organised by KFC HOLDINGS
(MALAYSIA) BHD.
The start will be from the 500th KFC Outlet in Malaysia, Subang 2, off Jalan Sungai Buloh on
Saturday 23 July 2011 at 8.00 a.m. and finish at the Selesa Beach Resort, Port Dickson on the same
day between 1.30 p.m. to 2.45 pm.
All Participants are invited to attend the Hi-Tea at 2.45 pm onwards at the Ballroom, Selesa Beach
Resort, Port Dickson on Saturday 23 July 2011.

ENTRIES
Open to public on a first come first serve basis only.
Entry is limited to the first sixty (60) teams only.
The Great KFC Treasure Hunt 2011 will have 3 categories participating:a) Open Category
b) Family Category
c) Media Category
The participation fee for the Open Category will be RM 320.00 per car which includes Breakfast, HiTea, T-Shirts and Goodies for the Team.
The participation fee for the Family Category will be RM 200.00 per car which includes Breakfast, HiTea, T-Shirts and Goodies for the Team.
All participants should ensure that their vehicles are adequately insured for the event and must
possess current valid road tax. Drivers of participating vehicles must also possess valid driving
licence upon registering for the Treasure Hunt.

ELIGIBLE VEHICLES
Motor vehicles other than motorcycles and commercial vehicles are eligible to participate.
An entrant is deemed to have full knowledge of the condition of his/her vehicle.
It is strongly recommended that the vehicle be fitted with a Trip Meter (Odometer) reading in
kilometers, which can be "zeroed" (this is usually a standard attachment) on the speedometer.
Safety items, such as spare car keys, torch light etc. are recommended to be carried in the vehicle.
5.
INDEMNITIES
Every participant agrees to indemnify and keep the organisers, sponsors, servants and agents
from and against any and all actions, claims, expenses or demands in respect of death, injury or
property damage to participants, their vehicle or third parties however caused in or arising out of or in
connection to this entry and notwithstanding that the same may be contributed to or caused by
negligence of the said officials, bodies, servants or agents.
Entrants, drivers, navigators and passengers will be required to sign the Indemnity Form attached
to the Entry Form.
6.
RIGHTS OF ORGANISERS
The Organisers reserve the right to :a)
refuse any entry or bar any vehicle.
b)
abandon, cancel or postpone the Event.
c)
reject any protest under any circumstances.
d)
the results of the Treasure Hunt will be judged by the Organising Committee whose decision
shall be final and binding.
e)
award prizes as they deem fit.
7.
ROUTE
The route will start from the 500 th KFC Outlet, Subang 2, off Jalan Sungai Buloh on Saturday 23 July
2011 at 8.00 a.m. and finish at the Selesa Beach Resort, Port Dickson on the same day between
1.30 p.m. to 2.45 pm. Navigation will be by described routes issued at the start of the Hunt. These
will be of will be explained by the Clerk-of-Course during the briefing session on 20 July 2011 at 6.30
p.m. All distances in the described routes will be in kilometers. Starting will be by order of first-comefirst-go basis on the morning of the Hunt Day, at intervals of approximately 3 (three) cars every 1
(one) minute. Participation numbers will be allocated to entrants on a Teams basis.
8.
IMPORTANT WARNING
THE GREAT KFC TREASURE HUNT 2011 is NOT A RACE.
Points are not awarded for early arrival at the finish. Any entry caught driving in a negligent manner
or at excessive speeds or commits any traffic offences during the "Hunt" shall incur penalty points or
be disqualified. The time given to finish the Event is ample at legal speed limits. All accidents during
the Event must be reported to the Organisers.

The allocation of points will be disclosed during the briefing session on 20 July 2011.

Participating cars are required to ensure that Competition Numbers stickers are to be affixed to their
vehicles in the correct positions as shown during the briefing session. No other form of advertising
will be allowed on participants' vehicles. Failure to comply with the specified requirements will incur
penalty points.

INDEMNITIES
I have read the Regulations issued for this Event and agree to be bound by them. In consideration of the
acceptance of this entry or of my being able to take part in this Event, I agree to save harmless and keep
indemnified the organiser, Edu-Fun, KFC Holdings ( Malaysia ) Bhd, Gary Event Management, the official
Sponsors, the Federal and State Governments of Malaysia, their respective officials, servants, representatives
and agents from and against all actions, claims, cost, expenses and demands in respect of death or injury to
myself and/or my passengers how so ever caused arising out of or at any time in connection with this entry or my
taking part in this Event, and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the
negligence of the said bodies, the officials, servants, representatives or agents.
I hereby declare that the vehicle detailed below is adequately covered by a Motor Insurance Policy against Third
Party Liability throughout the duration of this Event as defined in the Regulations.
