and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.

(Divorce)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

‫ َوَأْ ُا اِْ  َة‬

 ِِ ِِ 
 ُ‫ ِإذَا َُْ ُ اَء ََُه‬$
# ِ%‫َ ا‬#&‫&َ َأ‬
1. O Prophet!
when ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately)
their prescribed periods: and fear Allah your Lord:

ُْ'‫وَاُا ا َ* َرﺏ‬

and fear Allah your Lord:

1ٍ َ.َ%#/ 1ٍ َ2َِ3ِ‫ ﺏ‬
َ .ِْ4َ& ‫ ِإ َأن‬
َ ْ+,ُ ْ-َ& َ‫ َو‬
 ُِِ.ُ‫ِ ﺏ‬/ 
 ُ‫ُه‬+,ِ ْ-ُ َ
and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they
are guilty of some open lewdness.

*ِ ‫ ُُو ُد ا‬7

َ ِْ‫َو‬
Those are limits set by Allah:

*ُ َْ3َ‫ََ َ ﻥ‬9 ََْ *ِ ‫َ &َََ  ُُو َد ا‬/‫َو‬

and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul:

A١? ‫ًا‬,ْ/‫ َأ‬7

َ ِ‫ث ﺏَْ َ َذ‬
ُ ِ ْ<ُ& *َ ‫َ َْرِي ََ = ا‬
thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation.

‫ف‬
ٍ ‫ُو‬,َْCِ‫ ﺏ‬
 ُ‫ُه‬D‫ف َأوْ َ ِر‬
ٍ ‫ُو‬,َْCِ‫ ﺏ‬
 ُ‫ِْ'ُه‬/َ4َ 
 ََُ+‫ َأ‬
َ ْEََ‫ذَا ﺏ‬Fِ َ
2. Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with
them on equitable terms;

*ِ ِ ‫َ َد َة‬2‫ُا ا‬C.ِD‫'ُْ َوَأ‬/ ‫َْ ٍل‬H ْ‫َوَأﺵُِْوا َذ َوي‬

and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the
evidence (as) before Allah.

,ِ ِ‫ﺥ‬Kْ‫َْ ِم ا‬.ْ‫ ﺏِ ِ* وَا‬

ُ ِ/ْMُ& ‫ن‬
َ َ‫َ آ‬/ *ِ ِ‫ُ ﺏ‬OَHُ& ُْ'ِ‫َذ‬
Such is the admonition given to him who believes in Allah and the Last Day.
 A٢? ً+,َ ْ-َ/ *ُ  =َْPَ& *َ ‫ ا‬Q
ِ َ& َ/‫َو‬
And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out,

ُ َِْ<َ& َ T
ُ ْ.َ ِْ/ *ُ ْD‫ْ ُز‬,َ&‫َو‬
3. And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine.

*ُ ُ%َْ َ َُ *ِ ‫ ا‬VََH ْ=‫َ &ََ َآ‬/‫َو‬

And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him.

A٣? ‫َْرًا‬D ‫ْ ٍء‬$َ‫ََ َ= ا ُ* ِ'ُ = ﺵ‬+ َْD Wِ ,ِ ْ/‫ُ َأ‬Xَِ‫ن ا َ* ﺏ‬
 ‫ِإ‬
For Allah will surely accomplish His purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due
proportion.

ُْ'ِZَ‫ِ ﻥ‬/ [
ِ .ِ<َCْ‫ ا‬
َ ِ/ 
َ ِْ\َ& $ِZ‫وَا‬
4. Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses,


َ ْ]ِ<َ& َْ $ِZ‫ وَا‬,ٍ ُْ‫ َأﺵ‬1ُ َ^ََ^ 
 َُُِ ُْْ%َْ‫ن ار‬
ِ ‫ِإ‬
for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubt, is three months, and for those who have
no courses (it is the same):


 َُْCَ 
َ َْ]َ& ‫ أَن‬
 َُُ+‫َ ِل َأ‬Cَْ4ْ‫ت ا‬
ُ َْ‫َوُأو‬
for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens:

A٤? ‫ًا‬,ُْ& Wِ ,ِ ْ/‫ِْ َأ‬/ *ُ  =َْPَ& *َ ‫ ا‬Q

ِ َ& َ/‫َو‬
and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.

ُْ'ْ.َ‫َ ُ* ِإ‬aَ ‫ ا ِ* أَﻥ‬,ُ ْ/‫ َأ‬7

َ ِ‫َذ‬
5. That is the Command of Allah, which He has sent down to you:

A٥? ‫ًا‬,ْ+‫ِْ َ ُ* َأ‬bُْ&‫\َِ ِ* َو‬.َ‫َْ ُ* ﺱ‬H ْ,3َ'ُ& *َ ‫ ا‬Q

ِ َ& َ/‫َو‬
and if anyone fears Allah, He will remove his ills from him and will enlarge His reward.


 ِْ.ََH ‫ُا‬.َ]ُِ 
 ُ‫وه‬#‫ْ ِآُْ َوَ ُ]َر‬+‫ ُو‬/ َُ'َ‫ ﺱ‬T
ُ ْ.َ ِْ/ 
 ُ‫َأﺱْ'ُِه‬
6. Let the women live (in 'iddah) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: annoy
them not, so as to restrict them.


 َُْCَ 
َ َْ]َ& Vَ 
 ِْ.ََH ‫ُِا‬3‫َﻥ‬4َ =ٍ ْCَ ‫ت‬
ِ َ‫ أُو‬
 ُ‫َوإِن آ‬
And if they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver
their burden:


 ُ‫ُ َره‬+‫ ُأ‬
 ُ‫ُه‬Kَ ُْ'َ 
َ َْ‫نْ َأرْﺽ‬Fِ َ
and if they suckle your (offspring), give them their recompense:

 A٦? ‫َى‬,ْ‫ َ ُ* ُأﺥ‬gُ ِ‫ْﺽ‬,ََُ ُْْ,َ‫ف َوإِن ََﺱ‬
ٍ ‫ُو‬,َْCِ‫َْ'ُ ﺏ‬.َ‫ُوا ﺏ‬,ِCَْ‫َوأ‬
and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable. And if ye find
yourselves in difficulties, let another woman suckle (the child) on the (father's) behalf.

*ِ ََِ‫ ﺱ‬/ 1ٍ ََ‫ْ ذُو ﺱ‬Qِ3ُ.ِ

7. Let the man of means spend according to his means:

*ُ ‫ ا‬Wُ َi Cِ/ ْQِ3ُ.َْ *ُ ُDْ‫ْ ِ* ِرز‬.ََH ‫ُ ِ َر‬D َ/‫َو‬

and the man whose resources are restricted, let him spend according to what Allah has given
him.

A٧? ‫ًا‬,ُْ& ,ٍ ُْH َ َْ‫َْ ُ= ا ُ* ﺏ‬Pَ.َ‫َهَ ﺱ‬i َ/ ‫ًْ ِإ‬3َ‫ ا ُ* ﻥ‬j
ُ َ'ُ& َ
Allah puts no burden on any person beyond what He has given him. After a difficulty, Allah will
soon grant relief.

*ِ ُِ‫ َرﺏَ َو ُرﺱ‬,ِ ْ/‫َْ َأ‬H ْlََH 1ٍ َ&ْ,َD / &َ4َ‫َوآ‬

8. How many populations that insolently opposed the command of their Lord and of His
messengers,

A٨? ‫ًا‬,ْ'#‫َاﺏً ﻥ‬mَH َ‫ﺏَْه‬m َH‫َْهَ َِﺏً ﺵَِ&ًا َو‬%َ‫َ<َﺱ‬

did We not then call to account -- to severe account? -- and We imposed on them an
exemplary Punishment.

A٩? ‫ًا‬,ُْ‫هَ ﺥ‬,ِ ْ/‫ َأ‬1ُ َ%ِDَH ‫ن‬

َ َ‫هَ َوآ‬,ِ ْ/‫ْ َوﺏَ َل َأ‬lَD‫َا‬mَ
9. Then did they taste the evil result of their conduct, and the End of their conduct was Perdition.

‫َاﺏً ﺵَِ&ًا‬mَH َُْ *ُ ‫َ  ا‬H‫َأ‬

10. Allah has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter).

A١٠? ‫ًا‬,ْ‫ْ'ُْ ِذآ‬.َ‫ َل ا ُ* ِإ‬aَ ‫َْ أَﻥ‬D ‫َُا‬/i 

َ &ِm‫ب ا‬
ِ َ%َْ4ْ‫ ا‬$ِْ‫َُا ا َ* &َ ُأو‬
Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding -- who have believed! -- for Allah hath indeed
sent down to you a Message --

‫ت‬
ٍ َ.َ%ُ/ *ِ ‫ت ا‬
ِ َ&i ُْ'ْ.ََH َُْ& ًُ‫رﺱ‬
11. A Messenger, who rehearses to you the Signs of Allah containing clear explanations,

‫ ِر‬#‫ ا‬Vَ‫ت ِإ‬

ِ َCُ#b‫ ا‬
َ ِ/ ‫ت‬
ِ َ<ِ ‫ُِا ا‬CَH‫َُا َو‬/i 
َ &ِm‫ج ا‬
َ ,ِ ْ-ُ.
that he may lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness
into Light.

‫َﻥَْ ُر‬4ْ‫ِ َ<َِْ ا‬/ ‫ِي‬,ْPَ ‫ت‬

ٍ َ+ *ُ ِْ‫َ=ْ ﺹَِ<ً &ُْﺥ‬Cَْ&‫ِ ﺏِ ِ* َو‬/ْMُ& َ/‫َو‬
And those who believe in Allah and work righteousness, He will admit to Gardens beneath
which rivers flow,

 ‫َ َأﺏًَا‬.ِ 
َ &َِِ‫ﺥ‬
to dwell therein forever:

A١١? ًDْ‫ ا ُ* َ ُ* ِرز‬

َ َْ‫َْ َأ‬D
Allah has indeed granted for them a most excellent provision.


 َُْuِ/ ‫ض‬
ِ ْ‫َر‬4ْ‫ ا‬
َ ِ/‫ت َو‬
ٍ ‫َوَا‬Cَ‫ ﺱ‬gَ ْ%َ‫ ﺱ‬Q
َ ََ‫ِي ﺥ‬m‫ا ُ* ا‬
12. Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number.

ٌ,&َِD ‫ْ ٍء‬$َ‫ آُ = ﺵ‬VََH *َ ‫ن ا‬

 َ ‫ُا‬Cََِْ 
 َُْ.َ‫ ﺏ‬,ُ ْ/َ4ْ‫ ُل ا‬a َََ&
Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has
power over all things,

A١٢? ًCِْH ‫ْ ٍء‬$َ‫َْ َأَطَ ﺏِ'ُ = ﺵ‬D *َ ‫ن ا‬

 ‫أ َوَأ‬
and that Allah comprehends all things in (His) Knowledge.
