Mission of Coke:
Our Mission:
Our Roadmap starts with our mission, which is enduring. It declares our purpose as a company

foods and beverages. We seek to produce financial rewards to investors as we provide
opportunities for growth and enrichment to our employees, our business partners and the
communities in which we operate. And in everything we do, we strive for honesty, fairness and
integrity.
Comparison in Between Their Missions:
The first statement, Coca Colas, is part of what they call their roadmap and outlines three
main aims against which they can weigh and judge every decision they make. Of these three
aims two of them are consumer oriented whereas the third is more about the business itself.
The wording is also significant in that is informal and could even be described as playful i.e. To
inspire moments of optimism and happiness
In comparison Pepsis mission statement has a much more formal and professional feel about
it, created by the much more business-oriented aims and by referring to their investors and
partners directly.
Another significant difference is the layout of the two statements. The Coca Cola design is
much more user friendly with the three main points clearly listed to emphasize them and only a
couple of short sentences of text before. In comparison Pepsis layout consists of a short
paragraph containing all the information with no attempt to highlight key details, resulting in a
statement that feels a little more formal and structured than the more outgoing and inviting
feel created by Coca Colas.

PEST ANALYSIS
Political factors:

Legislations and regulations imposed by the government normally affect the industry. But in the food industry there are no such governmental regulations that have to be considered. Apart from that the government is in fact supporting the food industry as it has a lot of potential and the demands of the consumers for
convenience food items is increasing. There are food laws implemented by the government just to ensure the quality of the products being supplied to the end consumers.
There are certain risks and hazards related to food safety issues but that is not just linked with the processing but also implies to the whole supply chain of a food product. Food safety 'risk' in the supply chain depends upon access of food towards those elements that can raise question over health and safety of the
consumer.
Now the question arises that how safe are the supply chains in Pakistan? Legislations regarding the safety issues of food like 'Pakistan Pure Food Ordinance, 1960' and others are mainly concerned with the processing and the manufacturing of the food product and do not take into consideration the safety of the raw
materials into account. More over these legislations are not fully enforced. This negligent attitude from concerned authorities is a growing threat for the safety of consumers and towards the image of Pakistan food items in the world.
Technological factors:
Technology is also one of the important factors in shaping the food industry. As compliance to their social responsibility they need to recycle the waste from the industry. All the industries working in Pakistan need to have better facilities of waste-water treatment plant. Nowadays, food companies realize their social
responsibility towards the environment so it is assumed that in near future the companies will acquire technology for the treatment of the waste products. Introduction of the computer software systems like ERP, SAP etc also improve the efficiency of the companies hence reducing the costs and the time constraints.

Some important points are,
The industry is technology driven a number of ERP system are being used by the major players of the industry.
The low or un-organized sector still uses the basic technology.
The products global reach through Internet.

Socio-cultural factors:

Socio cultural issues are also shaping the industry. The tastes and preferences of the consumers are changing and now people are going for convenience food items. In recent years more women have joined the workforce, apart from handling family responsibilities they work to support their families financially. To cope with
dual responsibilities women now prefer foods and dishes that take less time to cook. These changes in consumer tastes and preferences are in fact shaping opportunities for the manufacturers to emphasize on product innovation and develop products that are in line with consumer preference.

The market for readymade masala is big according to one explorative research conducted 93 % preferred readymade masala.
Now a days numberof working class woman is increasing dramatically therefore they do not have much time for the kitchens.
People now take pleasure in cooking and preparing delicious meal which was once only possible at restaurants, besides single parents and bachelors all look forward to these items even young girls learn their cooking lessons in this way.

Economic factors:
Foods Industry, too, has been badly hit by the ever-rising cost of inputs, including electricity tariffs that are now the highest in the world. As a consequence, industries in Pakistan are suffering. The government has promised to deal with this shortage of electricity problem in the near future, only then it can be assured that
the high electricity tariffs will be reduced.
Currently recession has been observed in almost every economy of the world and hence impacting all the industries with a number a problems

The high prices and inflation is also affected the industry with people actually not using readymade masala or else using it on special; occasions.
The industry players look forward to achieve economies of scope by having a portfolio of products.
The technology being used but them helps them in using the same facility for different products and product variants.
