Abstract
Stored algae of 0.55% solid containing rate was degraded by Anaerobic digestion and the concentration of COD, nitrogen and
phosphorus was remained at 371.3,73.0 and 6.5mg/L respectively, which required the need for further processing and utilization.
The effect of stored algae treatment using biological contact oxidation combined with aquatic vegetable constructed wetland under
different HRTs was investigated. Moreover, the operation characteristics and purification mechanism of the process were
analyzed. Efficient removal of nitrogen, phosphorus and organics was achieved by this combined process. The removal rates of
COD, NH4+-N, TN and TP reached 85%, 99%, 96% and 97%, respectively. The average effluent concentrations of COD, NH 4+-N,
TN and TP were 37.6, 0.6, 2.8 and 0.2mg/L, respectively, which reached a level of first class stand in Discharge standard of
pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant. Aquatic vegetables could be produced by utilizing the resource of nitrogen
and phosphorus in wastewater. The results showed the biological contact oxidation combined with aquatic vegetable constructed
wetland, which was suitable for biogas slurry of stored algae treatment, had the characteristics of energy-saving, high efficiency
and simple operation.
