To the Student:
You and your parents or guardians will fill out the attached application as well as the relevant sections of the High
School Recommendation forms. These materials must be taken to your high school principal, who will complete the
recommendation section confidentially and send it to us. Only complete applications will be considered.
Step-by-Step Process
Step 1: Student and parent/guardian complete the 2008 application for admission.
Step 2: Student completes responses to student essay questions.
Step 3: Student completes top portions of both the High School Recommendations – Principal and Teacher.
Step 4: Student submits completed application to his/her high school principal’s office. (Remember: the deadline for
submission to the Summer College office is April 1, 2008)
Step 5: High school principal distributes application to teacher for completion of Teacher Recommendation.
Step 6: Teacher returns application to high school principal’s office.
Step 7: High school principal’s office completes High School Recommendation – Principal of School.
Step 8: High school principal’s office submits completed application to:

c/o Lubin House
11 East 61st Street
New York, NY 10021
Applications are accepted directly from the high school principal’s office only.
Deadline for submission: April 1, 2008.
Step 9: Summer College selection committee reviews applications, selects applicants for admission interview:
April 1 to April 15.
Step 10: Summer College selection committee conducts admission interviews: April 15 to May 15.
Step 11: Summer College selection committee selects student participants.
Step 12: Summer College notifies all students of admission decisions. Notifications are mailed by May 25, 2008.
Step 13: Deadline for students to accept the offer of admission: June 6, 2008.

• Complete all sections of this application except those to be completed by school officials.
• Take all of your application materials to your school and have the recommendation pages completed by high school
officials.
• Your school will complete the recommendation forms and mail it, with an up-to-date grade transcript and all other
application materials, to Summer College.
