Whether it is permissible to say Ya Rasoolallah and Ya Wali Allah?

Whether it is permissible to say Ya Rasoolallah and Ya Wali Allah? Is it permissible or not to seek assistance from the Prophets and saints?

What do the learned 'lama and the (earned )uftis say concernin* +hether it is permissible to say Ya Rasoolallah sallal laahu alaihi +asallam and
Ya Wali Allah? Is it permissible or not to seek assistance from the Prophets and saints and to say Ya Ali )ushkil ,usha in times of need? Please

2he Ans+er: It is permissible as lon* as you accept them as the ser1ants of Allah and +asila in the 3ourt of Allah and to fully accept that they ha1e
been blessed +ith this e/cellence throu*h the permission and Will of Allah0 4ne must ha1e complete faith in the fact that +ithout Allah5s Will. e1en one
atom can not mo1e0 And +ithout doubt. this is the belief of e1ery )uslim0 2o think contrary to this concernin* the )uslims is to falsely accuse them.
+hich itself is haraam0 Without Allah5s *i1in*. none can *i1e e1en one *rain. one can not hear a sin*le alphabet. and one can not e1en blink once0
6o+. undoubtedly. to call to them truly and sincerely belie1in* this. is totally permissible0 It is e1ident from the %adith of 7aame 2irmi8i etc0 that the
%oly Prophet 9!all Allaho alaihi +asallam:himself tau*ht the follo+in* dua to a blind man0 %e said that after 6amaa8 he should read: Ya Rasoolullah
9!allal laahu alaihi +asallam:. I turn my attention to+ards my 3reator throu*h the +asila of %u8oor 9!all Allaho alaihi +asallam:in seekin* +hat I +ish
for. so that this need of mine is fulfilled0
In some narrations it has been narrated as follo+s: !o that the Prophet 9!all Allaho alaihi +asallam:may fulfill this need of mine0 2he blind person
read this dua and +as immediately able to see0
It is in the %adith of 2ibraani etc0 that in the time of %a8rat 'thman;e;<hani 9radi Allahu anhu:. a companion by the name of %a8rat 'thman bin
%aneef 9radi Allahu anhu: *a1e this dua to a !ahabi or 2aabi5ee to recite0 After 6amaa8. he said. Ya Rasoolallah 9sallal laahu alaihi +asallam:. I turn
my attention to+ards Almi*hty Allah +hilst makin* the Prophet 9!all Allaho alaihi +asallam: my +asila0 =1en his need +as fulfilled0 2hus. the 'lama;
