PASSAGE : Revelation 1:1-20
KEY VERSE(S) : 'And Irom Jesus Christ, who is the IaithIul witness,
the frstborn Irom the dead, and the ruler oI the
kings oI the earth. To Him who loves us, and Ireed
us Irom our sins by His blood, and has made us
to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and
Father to Him be glory and power Ior ever and
ever! Amen.
Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye
will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all
the peoples oI the earth will mourn because oI Him.
So shall it be! Amen. (Rev. 1:5-7)
'And in the middle oI the lampstands one like a
Son oI Man, clothed in a robe reaching to the Ieet,
and girded across His breast with a golden girdle.
And His head and His hair were white like white
wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a fame oI
fre; and His Ieet were like burnished bronze, when
it has been caused to glow in a Iurnace, and His
voice was like the sound oI many waters. And in
His right hand He held seven stars; and out oI His
mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His
Iace was like the sun shining in its strength. And
when I saw Him, I Iell at His Ieet as a dead man.
And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, 'Do
not be aIraid; I am the frst and the last, and the
living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive
Iorevermore, and I have the keys oI death and oI

MAIN IDEA : Jesus Christ, the Son oI God, is worthy oI both our
worship and our obedience.
BACKDROP : Revelation, chapter 1, presents a microcosm oI the
doctrine oI Jesus Christ.
LEAD-IN QUESTION: Why is there not more true worship and obedience
in the body oI Christ today? Answer: We have not really seen and do
not really know Christ as He is!
