Learning Outcomes #3 thru 4
Discuss how and why particular research methods are used at the Sociocultural level of analysis and ethical
considerations
What are the most useful research methods at SCLoA? Why? What are the leastuseful research method at SCLoA? Why?

Give an Example of research from the SCLoA and explain what method is used, and WHY another method would not have
worked?

Learning Outcome #5: Describe the role of situational and dispositional factors in explaining behaviour.
Key Vocabulary and Explanation of Attribution Theory:

Test will include:

Part One: Multiple Choice Questions

Part Two: Research Studies for LOs
In this section you will be asked to write down a study that would best support/demonstrate certain LOs
and then explain the studys findings. You will also need to accurately identify the researchers names and
year of the study.

Part Three: Short Essay
I will select one of the biological LOs and ask you to write a 20 minute essay in response to the prompt. It
could be any of the 12 BLOs. You will be graded according to the SAQ markbands for Paper One Section A.
