    Hereswhatyoullneedtodo,ifyouareinterested.
    Step1:SubscribetotheASVSmaillist
    ThefirststepistosubscribetotheASVSmaillist.
    YoucansubscribetotheASVSmaillisthere.

    Step2:CoordinatewithMike
    ThenextstepistoemailMiketointroduce
    yourselfandtoexplainwhatlanguage(s)youre
    interestedintranslatingASVSinto.MikeisMike
    Boberski,theprojectleadforASVS.Youcanemail
    Mikehere.

    Step3:DownloadtheWordversionofASVS
    ThenextstepistoobtaintheMicrosoftWord
    2003versionofthereleaseversionofASVS.The
    releaseversionofASVScanbedownloadedfrom
    here.

    Step4:Starttranslating!
    TheEnglishversionofASVSshouldbeusedasa
    templatetocreatethetranslatedversionofASVS.
    Translatedversionsmustbecompatiblewith
    MicrosoftWordversion2003orversion2007.
    PictureswerecreatedusingMicrosoftVisio2007.
    Mikecanhelpupdatepictures,ifneeded.

    Step5:Emailthelistwithanyquestions
    Ifindoubt,emailthelistwithanyquestionsor
    concernsasyouworkonthetranslation.Pleasebe
    patientifyoudontgetaresponserightaway.The
    ASVSmaillistincludesmembersthatspanthe
    globe,sodependingonyourlocationand
    whomevermayhaveinsightintoaparticularitem,
    theremaybeadelay.

    Step6:Emailthelistweeklywithyourstatus
    PleaseemailtheASVSmaillistwithabrief
    summaryofthesectionsofthedocumentyou
    workedonduringthepastweek,whatyouplanon
    workingonthenext,andanyissuesorrequestsfor
    assistance.PleasetrytoemailyourstatusbyCOB
    ThursdayEasterntime(Mikeislocatedinthe
    greaterWashingtonDCarea).

    Step7:SendMikedraftsasyouworkonit
    SendMikedraftsofthetranslatedversionofASVS
    asmajorsectionsofthedocumentaretranslated.
