The Dryer plant is used for continuous
drying of the laundry and/or toilet
base soap, and it is composed of five
different stages:

1- NEAT SOAP FILTRATION
The liquid soap is pumped through the
soap filter into the service tank.

2- NEAT SOAP HEATING
The liquid soap is fed by the feeding
pump into the heat exchanger where it
is heated.

3-DRYING
The heated liquid soap is atomized
inside of the atomizer. The vapors lib-
erated inside (ones preformed inside
heat exchanger and those flashed off)
are sucked away by the vacuum sys-
tem. Sprayed soap on the wall of the
atomizer is already dry, cold and solid.
It is scrapped off the wall by action of
rotary scrappers. Scrapped soap falls
on the worms of the plodder and is
extruded out in form of pellets or con-
tinuous bar.

4-SOAP FINES SEPARATION AND
RECOVERY
The vapors containing the soap dusts
formed during spraying, are conveyed
out of the atomizer through the cy-
clones where they are separated from
the dusts which falls on the bottom of
cyclones and is recovered.

5- VAPORS CONDENSATION
The vapors are condensed inside baro-
metric condenser. The vacuum pump
produces and maintains the vacuum
degree inside the plant by removing all
uncondensables.

Soaptec proposes different kind of
Dryer plants and offers consulting and
supply for revamping of existing
plants.
The soap filter is basket type, in-
tended for horizontal installation.
Body and basket are made of AISI
316 stainless steel and the jacket in
AISI 304 stainless steel. Design
pressure: shell 4 bar, jacket 1 bar.
Filtration degree 08, mm.

Heat Exchanger Shell & Tube type,
equipped with tubes in AISI 316
stainless steel and shell and cones
in AISI 304 stainless steel, complete
with expansion joints.
Built and certificated according to
ASME codes, section VIII, division I.
Design pressure: shell 10 bar, tubes
10 bar.

Used in our Green Dryer installation
this machine drastically reduces
fines formation, carry over and the
load on the vacuum system. It can
be retro fitted on existing dryers in
order to obtain above mentioned
benefits. Being an equipment work-
ing under pressure, Soaptec fore-
seen the manufacturer and certifica-
tion according to ASME, SECTION
VIII,
DIVISION 1 Standards.

Atomizer equipped with spring
loaded scrapers on the cone, on the
cylinder and on the top, with bridge
breaker arm on the bottom. Built in
AISI 304 stainless steel, on request,
in AISI 316. On the soap and vac-
uum sides are installed mechanical
seals.

Our plodder are single worm or tan-
gent twin-worms, in version with
single or double stage, where the
length/diameter ratio cylinder is
four. All the parts in contact with
soap are manufactured in aisi 304
stainless steel. The group of extru-
sion with drilled plate for the chips
production or with conical head for
the bar soap production.

In the Toilet Dryer the liquid soap coming from the saponifica-
tion plant is dried by means two main processes:

Pre-evaporation in the heat exchanger and flash in the atom-
izer.

All the vapors produced are removed from the inside of the
atomizer, sucked by the vacuum group
and then condensed by the barometric condenser.

The Toilet Dryer plants produced by Soaptec are distinguished
for the ease of use given the automation of sequence produc-
tion/recycle sequence and atomizer nozzle cleaning.

In the Green Dryer, the liquid soap coming from the
saponification plant is dried by two main mechanisms:

Pre-evaporation in the heat exchanger and flash in the at-
omizer.

The vapours produced inside of the heat exchanger are
separated in the Soap/Vapour separator.

This operation drastically reduce the load on the vacuum
system and the fines formation and carry over.

The separated vapours can be used as motive steams to
the booster or for various heating purposes.

The main characteristics of this system is the high energy
savings and environment-friendly performance, hence the
name Green.

In the laundry dryer the main intention is not to dry but
to cool and consequently solidify the soap.

For this reason the Laundry Dryer can be furnished with-
out the heat exchanger, or if it is installed, is usually used
for small corrections of soap temperature before the flash
in the atomizer.

Considering the reduced dust formation, Soaptec pro-
poses a high efficiency monocyclone for fines separation.

The plodder placed under the atomizer is a duplex vac-
uum plodder which extrudes the soap in continuous bar
ready to be stamped and cut at the desired length by the
cutter.

Our cutters can be easily equipped with engraving rolls
for the production of high quality finish stamped like bars.
