Ultimus FloStation Manual
Version 7.1

Ultimus FloStation provides the platform to run Ultimus Flobots. Ultimus FloStation can
be used as an application or as a service. Users can install one or more Ultimus
FloStations and conveniently run Flobots on these. Ultimus Administrator provides the
"task list" for Flobots which indicates the status of pending and completed Flobot tasks.
Ultimus FloStation can be configured to check for e-mail messages to automatically
launch a workflow process.
This online Help discusses how to configure an Ultimus FloStation via local or remote
access as well as how to add and remove Flobots. This document assumes that Ultimus
FloStation has been installed as described in the Ultimus BPM Suite Installation Guide.

Configuring Ultimus FloStation
In order to use Ultimus FloStations, they must first be installed by identifying the name
of the computer where Ultimus FloStation software is installed. Every computer is given
a "name" when Microsoft Windows is installed -- this is the name that appears on the
network. The network name is found in the Identification tab of the Network Control
Panel. Ultimus FloStations must be added in Ultimus Administrator before they can be
utilized.
Ultimus FloStation automatically checks for new tasks on Ultimus BPM Server every 60
seconds. However, this interval may be increased or decreased. The Flobot Fail interval,
the length of time Ultimus FloStation waits before it considers a stalled Flobot as one
that has failed, may also be changed. Depending upon configuration settings, an Ultimus
FloStation can work locally or with a remote Ultimus BPM Server. In the case of a remote
Ultimus BPM Server, Ultimus FloStation gets and submits tasks to a remote Ultimus BPM
Server using HTTP, HTTPS or DCOM protocol.
To configure Ultimus FloStation, do the following:
1. Click Start>>Programs>>Ultimus BPM Suite 7.1>>Ultimus FloStation
Configuration. The Ultimus FloStation Configuration console appears.

2. Right-click the FloStation Configuration node and select Settings. The Server
Connection Settings dialog box appears.

fields:

o Click on the HTTP, HTTPS, or DCOM radio button to select the protocol to
connect to the remote Ultimus BPM Server.
o Enter the port number in the Port field.

4. If desired, change the interval number in the FloStation Invoke field. This is the
number of seconds Ultimus FloStation waits to be invoked. The number must be
between 1 and 999. The default setting is 60.
5. Click OK.
6. For changes to take effect, Ultimus FloStation must be restarted. If Ultimus
FloStation is being run as a service, it must be restarted.

Note:

In custom installation, Ultimus FloStation has to be manually
configured for the first time. This can be done either through Ultimus
FloStation Configuration or by adding Ultimus Flostation through
Ultimus Administrator.
