Influence of tensides on the WOR effect
Tensides bear wetting properties and damage the repellent effect
Tensides on the fabric may disturb the proper fixation of the fluorocarbon
Prevention / Problem solving actions
Non-ionic tensides which are not easy to wash off the fabric must be
avoided during the textile processing
If you are not sure about tensides make a Soxhlet test (extraction)
Eventually pre wash the fabric to remove tensides (add Sera Quest M-PP)

Influence of silicones (Silicone lubricants, silicone softeners, defoamer)
Silicones reduce or even eliminate the oil repellent properties
Prevention / problem solving actions
the mixing vessel and the padding system must be cleaned properly!
Check the fabric if there are silicones on (Tesa -Filmtest).
Bad adhesion is a good indicator for silicone on the fabric.
Silicones are hard to remove from the fabric. If necessary dry cleaning (or
washing with Sera Wash M-EL) is recommended.
