SBS Advisors, Auditors, Trainers and Researchers are highly qualified, profession-
ally trained and well known individuals in their respective fields. Their compe-
tence has been acknowledged both nationally and internationally and they
have been awarded several prestigious awards in recognition of their contribu-
tion to their areas of expertise. Our team members have been certified by
global bodies like SQA (USA), NIOSH (USA), NEBOSH (UK), IRCA (UK), IOSH (UK),
OPITO (UK), IEMA (UK), RABSQA International, IFAP (Australia) and APO (J apan).

Our accumulative experience in consulting, training, auditing and research pro-
jects is spread over more than 25 years and covers the construction, manufac-
turing, automobile, textile, on-shore & off-shore oil and gas, healthcare, higher
education, agriculture, glass, marble, mining, chemical, fertilizer, carpet, print-
ing, packaging, pharmaceutical, food, and power industry.

We own a long list of projects completed by our Advisors, , Trainers, Auditors and
Researchers for organizations based in Pakistan, USA, Australia, UK, Iran, Sweden,
Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Qatar, UAE and Nepal.

Team SBS
Saif Ullah Farooqi

Saif is an internationally qualified & experienced occupational health & safety, environ-
ment, energy and quality management professional with 10 years of rich experience.

He completed his MSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences from Uni of the Punjab and
started his career as Trainee Officer with NEC Consultants. He worked there on a couple
of foreign funded projects focusing on environment and health & safety management
in the textile industries. Later he joined Descon Engineering as HSE Engineer. He worked
on various projects in cement, fertilizer and petrochemicals sectors. Meanwhile he was
offered a lead position by Pak Elektron Limited. In a record time, he established HSE de-
partment for the company and won three national awards based on HSE performance.
In his free time, he started offering consulting and training services. Later, he was of-
fered a research scholarship from a leading Australian university so he went to Western
Australia and did one of its kind research on dispersal of offshore oil & gas industry
waste in deep waters. His research partners were leading oil & gas industry players like
included Chevron, Shell, BHP, BP, Eni and Total. Additionally, he started working with a
Perth based consulting company and worked on many projects for clients like BHP Billi-
ton, Rio Tinto, GFR Group, Thiess, Western Power, Marble Group, The Label Factory.

After he returned to Pakistan in 2010, he restarted his consulting & training work; but this
time in a well organized and structured manner by formally launching SBS. He formu-
lated a team of industrys best minds who believe in excellence. In addition to looking
after SBS, Saif teaches at three different institutes of Uni of the Punjab. He regularly
speaks at national forums. He is Consultant to PIFRA, Government of Pakistan on envi-
ronmental matters of a World Bank funded country-wide project. He also works as Work-
site Safety and Waste Management Consultant for a USAID funded project: Agribusi-
ness Support Fund. He is a Lead Auditor with SQA Inc, a California based consulting and
auditing company and performs audits on suppliers of worlds top pharmaceutical
companies like Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca. He is also HSE Consultant
for Dr Abidi Pharmaceuticals, Tehran.

Saif is one of Pakistans very few professional auditors registered with IRCA in the
Auditor grade for OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001; at the same time. He is also
an Approved Trainer for various internationally accredited HSEEQ qualifications of NE-
BOSH, IOSH, CIEH, HABC, IRCA and Global G.A.P. This is result of his passion towards de-
velopment of local human capital that SBS got accreditations for delivering
HSE qualifications from worlds leading awarding bodies, in a very short time.

He has provided consulting, training and auditing services to organizations from almost

Distance Learning (D/L)

For those, who are not able to make themselves free for the whole duration of

Prerequisites
Although there are no entry requirements for this qualification, however func-
tional English proficiency is recommended.

How is the course assessed?
Candidates are assessed with written examinations for each of the two taught
units. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A
certificate parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical

IOSH Managing Safely

Who should go on Managing Safely?
Managing safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organi-
