An ISO 9001:2000 Company

Cera Fibroflex is a unique single component water proofing compound supplied in powder
form, produced by blending selected acrylic co-polymers and different grades of treated
fibers that react with cement and other binders in the presence of water to produce
homogeneous glue like slurry. Cera Fibroflex possesses excellent waterproofing & crack
bridging properties and has good adhesion to all cementitious surfaces.

ADVANTAGES:
Excellent resistance to water
Excellent adhesion to porous and non porous surfaces
Protects the concrete from carbonation and de-ionizing salts
Considerable flexibility and elongation, can accommodate linear thermal
expansion of surface
Non-toxic
Enhances bridging effect against post construction hairline cracks
Ideal water proofing system for new buildings as well as repair of old
structures

FUNCTION:

Cera Fibroflex is a high built
waterproofing system wherein the ingress
of moisture into the structural member is
prevented by a flexible membrane formed
by the product. The unique matrix
distribution of speciality fibers as
secondary reinforcement makes the
membrane highly versatile. The highly
elastic nature of the membrane takes care
of the stresses set up by temperature and
resists crack formation.

USES:
Cera Fibroflex can be used as a
waterproofing membrane for
underground structures, water storage
areas, reservoirs, industrial plants, parking
areas, etc.
Cera Fibroflex can be used for
waterproofing balconies, terraces, bridge
decks, etc.

Cera Fibroflex can be used as water
proofing coating for exterior walls before
painting of new and old buildings.

Cera Fibroflex can be used as a coating
material in specifications where geo textile
membrane is sandwiched between coats.

Cera Fibroflex is ideally recommended
for waterproofing applications where a
high built system up to 3 - 4mm in
thickness is required.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Surface Preparation: The surface must
be clean and sound and free of dust, loose
particles, cement laitance, grease, rust and
other contaminants. Insufficiently covered
reinforcement has to be treated with a
corrosion protectant like Cera Zinc ZR.

CERA FIBROFLEX
Acrylic co-polymer based cementitious
waterproofing slurry
Rough areas and honeycombs must be
levelled with Cera Polymortar.

Absorbent surfaces (concrete, renderings,
plaster) have to be pre-wetted with clean
water. During application, the surface has
to be moist but free of puddles. A
minimum temperature of +5
o
C is
essential.

Mixing: The Cera Fibroflex compound
shall be mixed with clean water @ 900ml
per kg and stirred well using a mechanical
stirrer to obtain smooth lump free
consistant slurry.

Mix only in small batches of one unit at a
time which can be used within the pot life.
Mixing of Cera Fibroflex with water will
result in a plastic, thixotropic and easily
applicable compound, even to vertical
surfaces.

Application: Apply the well- mixed Cera
Fibroflex slurry with brush or broom
onto the prepared surface in one or two
layers. Do not apply more than 1.5mm
per layer. The next layer can be applied as
soon as the proceeding one is dry enough
to be wiped, i.e. as soon as it can be
walked on, but it is recommended to wait
overnight.

The tools should be cleaned with water
before Cera Fibroflex hardens because
the cured material is very hard to remove
even by machine.

Please consult Cera - Chem. technical
cell for further details.

Curing: Homogeneous hardening and
high waterproofness are assured if Cera
Fibroflex does not dry too quickly. Hence
it should be protected after application
against heavy wind and intense sunshine.

Hardening Time: Cera Fibroflex
coated surface becomes dry in 3 hrs. The
area can be recoated or plastered after a
period of 8 hrs.

PROPERTIES:

POT LIFE:
The working time of Cera Fibroflex
depends on the temperature - at 30
o
C
about 30 minutes.

Cera Fibroflex will have coverage of 1.25
kg /m
2
for 1 mm thickness. The coverage
may vary depending on the surface
conditions.

SHELF LIFE:
Keep under frost-free, cool and dry
conditions. Cera Fibroflex can be stored
for 12 months in tightly closed original
packings.

SAFETY:
Avoid contact with skin for prolonged
period. Any contact with eye, wash
immediately with plenty of water.
