3.0 Confirmation of Minutes
That the minutes of the meeting held on 4 May 2014 be confirmed as
a correct record.

Finance

Erica Gregory gave a verbal report about the finances

General Business

Koroneihana:
Dale will take a van to the Koroneihana from 17 August - 20 August
2014.
Roimata is to send a paanui to members to see who is wanting to
attend the Koroneihana.

Mark will inform Waikato/Tainui that we do not have a rangatahi
representative from the Taurahere for the Koroneihana.

Waikato/Tainui AGM:
Mark and Dale are attending on our behalf and will raise different
kaupapa from our meeting.
- Strategy for Taurahere in Aotearoa
- Strategy for Taurahere overseas
- Rangatahi internship for Taurahere websites
- Environment issues
- Education issues
- Child poverty

Website:
Dale gave an update about our website and suggested the possibility
of having a rangatahi internship with support from the iwi.

Endorsement for scholarships:
Discussion took place about tauira Mori trying to get endorsement for
scholarship/grant applications for those that do not have contact with
their papakainga due to urbanisation. A suggestion was made that we
have a list of people they could contact to help them on our website.

Governance Review:
Discussion took place about the review and we were advise that there
are three options:
- Marae
- Regional
- Status Quo (with some changes)

Roimata is to send an email to members to encourage them to attend
the workshop about this review on Tuesday 26 August 2014, 6pm at
Kuratini marae, Massey University, Wellington.

Pai Marire hui:
The roopu thought this is a good idea however they have suggested
that it be held at a later date.

Waiata Wananga:
These wananga are continuing and members are encouraged to
attend.

Te Ara Tawhaki:
Mike spoke about these educational seminars that are held at
Hopuhopu and suggested that we hold an event in Wellington. He will
lead this kaupapa.

Fundraising:
Mark spoke about a film archive fundraiser for the roopu. He will give
us an update about this kaupapa at a later date.

Haerenga:
Discussion took place about this kaupapa and it was decided that this
will still take place this year. It will happen in October and our
kaupapa will be on the two areas of the 1860s land wars.
Roimata to email committee to follow up on this kaupapa.

TriMori:
An update was given about this event and Roimata is to email
members to see who is interested in participating in ths years event.
