Standard equipment Optional equipment
Xenon headlights for low and high beam,
with dynamic headlight range control, significantly
improve road illumination at night, in bad weather
or poor visibility. In combination with the new,
optional Adaptive Headlights, they illuminate
bends via electro-mechanical movement of the
headlights when the driver turns the steering
wheel.
Wind deflector makes open-top driving more
pleasurable by reducing irritating drafts and
annoying isolated turbulence in the shoulder and
neck region. The wind deflector is easy to operate
and can be stowed away compactly in the luggage
compartment.
Fin roof, fully-automatic. Sets unprecedented
standards in noise insulation. In connection with
the retractable rear window, it offers very effective
ventilation of the vehicle interior. When closed,
it gives the convertible a typical coup-like sil-
houette; when opened, it is stowed in the soft top
compartment fitted in the luggage compartment.
Available in grey or black.
Glass rear window, vertically retractable, can
be raised and lowered independently of the soft
top. When the roof is closed and the rear window
is lowered, the interior is effectively ventilated for
a pleasant climate. When the roof is open, the
raised rear window improves the comfort of rear
seat passengers.
Radial-spoke styling 118 with runflat tyres,
8 J x 18" rims, 245/45 R 18 tyres (standard on
the 645Ci).
Double-spoke styling 120 with runflat tyres
and mixed tyres, 8 J x 18" rims with 245/45 R 18
tyres at the front, 9 J x 18" rims with 275/40 R 18
tyres at the rear.
Ellipsoid styling 121 with runflat tyres and
mixed tyres, 8.5 J x 19" rims with 245/40 R 19
tyres at the front, 9 J x 19" rims with 275/35 R 19
tyres at the rear.
Star-spoke styling 92, forged, with runflat
tyres and mixed tyres, 8.5 J x 19" rims with
245/40 R 19 tyres at the front, 9 J x 19" rims with
275/35 R 19 tyres at the rear.

Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) enables
fast, sporty and clutchless shifting through the
six gears via steering wheel mounted shift pad-
dles or the selector on the transmission tunnel.
Six-speed automatic gearbox with Steptronic
enables fast, smooth shifts for excellent driving
dynamics and comfort.
Navigation system Professional* with 8.8
inch colour display, including Radio BMW Pro-
fessional. Directions are provided by the voice
computer, arrows or on the map display. Split-
screen function enables division of the display,
e.g. to show both navigation and radio information.
HiFi loudspeaker system with ten speakers
for brilliant sound.
HiFi system Professional LOGIC7 provides
an enormously rich, intense acoustic experience,
with 13 loudspeakers (11 in the Convertible) cre-
ating a near-perfect soundstage. The central bass
concept allows for highly authentic reproduction
of bass frequencies via sill-mounted subwoofers.
Head-Up Display conveys important informa-
tion such as current speed directly in the drivers
the field of vision. Direction arrows from the navi-
gation system, Active Cruise Control functions
and Check Control data can also be displayed.
Active Cruise Control enables driving at a
pre-set speed. In traffic, Active Cruise Control
recognises slow-moving vehicles ahead and
automatically maintains a pre-set distance from
them.
Driving Dynamic Control (sport mode), at
the touch of a button, engine response to the
accelerator becomes even more spontaneous.
With the automatic gearbox, the sport pro-
gramme is automatically selected, and with SMG
gear shifts occur faster. Steering assistance is
also reduced for improved feel of the road, and
cruise control accelerates faster.
Sports seats for driver and front passenger

depicted above). Pronounced side bolsters ensure
optimal lateral support in all driving conditions.
Electric adjustment of height, length, backrest
angle and tilt control. Thigh support manually
adjustable. With lumbar support as standard.

The petrol engines are designed for RON 98 fuel. It may be run on lower grades up to RON 91 fuel with a possible decrease in
engine output and increased fuel consumption.

cycle in which approx. one third of the distance covered is in urban traffic and two thirds are extra urban driving. CO2 emissions
