Thank You

I would like to thank all of the wonderful Band and Orchestra parents

W E L CO M E
who helped make this year possible. Without your continued support our
students could never accomplish the great things that they do. From parents
who put podiums on the field, moved chairs on the stage, loaded instruments
in the trailer, ran the snack tent, sold Fannie May, and everyone who
encouraged their student to achieve, thank you!
Thank you to the Banquet Volunteers who did such a wonderful job
TO THE EAST PEORIA MUSIC
of planning and producing tonight’s event.
I would like to thank the combined efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Frick as
AWARDS BANQUET
well as Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Miller who have gone above and beyond in the
creation of the Marching Band DVDs, tonight’s senior video, the Band’s
YouTube channel, and the soon to come Concert Band and Orchestra
DVD’s.
A special thanks to our school Administration, the Superintendent,
Mr. Cobert and the Principal, Mr. Whittington, and the School Board who
have provided support and encouragement in allowing our program to grow
and improve. I also want to thank the EPCHS Faculty who have been so
supportive of our students and their musical activities, especially Paul
Standord and his team for all of their technical contributions, Pat Peterson
who has helped us by copying all of our music, handouts and programs we
have needed throughout the year, our custodial staff who have been so
much help in providing logistical assistance, and Steve Cordell for his
assistance as auditorium manager.
And finally I would like to thank the most important people of all, our
band and orchestra students. Everyone says that music students are some
of the best in a school and it could not be any more true than at East Peoria.
Every day I see new growth and maturity in our students, and we still have
room for a good laugh! Thank you to all of the students who reached above
and beyond by joining the Band Leadership Team as we forged new paths ON THIS, THE TWENTY-SECOND OF APRIL
for our program. As they become alumni, I would like to wish the seniors
good luck in their future endeavors, and I hope that their time with the band TWO THOUSAND AND NINE
has prepared them for some of the trials that lie ahead of them. I cannot wait
for next year to start so that our students can continue to reach new heights
of achievement together. See you all next year!
JOIN THE SENIORS IN CELEBRATING
Thank you all for coming tonight and for all of your
support throughout the year of the instrumental
music program.
