Therapeutic use/Mechanism in action:

Bronchial asthma is an allergic condition resulting from the reaction of the body to one or more
allergens and is one of the most fatal respiratory diseases. With the increase in level of pollution
and the stressful lifestyle followed by people cases of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis,
allergic bronchitis, sinusitis and other respiratory tract diseases have drastically increased.

Asthease is quick-acting medication that works by relaxing the muscles in the airway and allows
air to flow in and out of the lungs more easily.

The alkaloids such as solonocarpine, solanine-s, ecliptine, alpha & beta phellandrene, piperine,
tylophorine and tylophorinine exhibit expectorant, anti-tubercular, antimicrobial, antiamoebic,
antihistaminic,antioxidant and immunomodulant properties and helps relieve bronchial spasms,
prevents asthmatic attack by increasing the resistance of the body.

Active Ingredients:

Ephedra vulgaris : Bronchodilator
Clerodendron serratum : Anti histaminic
Solanum xanthocarpum : Expectorant
Tylophora indica : Expectorant
Adathoda vasica : Antitussive

Indications : Bronchial Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis, Allergic bronchitis,
Sinusitis and other respiratory tract diseases

Dosage and administration:

Adults : Taken orally and patients can have 2-3 capsules a day. Leafy
vegetables and fiber-rich vegetable diet is advised. Exposure to
dust, exposure to extreme climates, identity the specific food
which aggravated the disease should be completely avoided.

Pediatric Use : Not for infants and children.

Geriatric Use : As directed by the Physician

Diabetics / pregnant women and nursing mothers/cancer patients:

Should use it strictly as directed by the physician

Patients receiving complementary or alternative medicine:

Asthease is compatible with other forms of treatment and has registered no adverse side effects.

Initial Dosage:

2 or 3 capsules a day/ 1-0-1 as directed by the physician after food and never on an empty
stomach.

It is also the recommended starting dosage

Maintenance Dosage : 2 capsules twice a day

Maximum Dosage : 2 capsules twice a day.

Precautions:

The capsule and syrup can be administered according to doctors prescription only.
Store the medicine in a cool dry place.
Protect from light and excessive heat.
Keep out of reach of children.
The patient is advised to avoid any food that aggravates allergy like yoghurt, butter, milk,
bananas, guavas, and fried foods.
Light food should be taken at night and all sour substances should be almost banned.
Smoking is contraindicated and consumption of liquor should be reduced to the
minimum.
Excessive physical exercise and exposure to cold and damp should be avoided.
