The Netbiter MB100 Gateway connects serial Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII devices with Ethernet and mobile

networks. The gateway acts as a transparent bridge in both directons, translatng Modbus TCP messages to serial
Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII messages.
One common applicaton is to connect one or more Modbus RTU serial devices to a supervisory SCADA or PLC that
supports Modbus TCP Ethernet. The communicaton is done over the existng Ethernet LAN lines in the building,
factory LAN or even over the Internet.
By interfacing the RTU-TCP gateway with applicatons such as drives, power meters, temperature regulators, weigh
scales, etc., it is possible to increase the distance between controller and applicaton as well as making it easier to
install a larger number of devices.

The Netbiter MB100 gateway connects with serial Modbus devices over RS-232 or RS-485. Using RS-485 makes
it possible to connect multple devices through on RTU-TCP gateway, allowing up to 31 devices to be linked to
one single gateway. The gateway can also handle up to 10 Modbus TCP connectons simultaneously.
There are also 2 digital inputs onboard that can be mapped to Modbus TCP registers and then accessible from a
SCADA, PLC or similar.
