Professions in my family


My dad and my mom are Veterinarians.

Veterinary medicine is the branch of science that deals with the prevention,
diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in animals.

My parents, before study veterinary, were thinking about other professions or
simply didn't know what to do with their lives. My dad, who is a very good
veterinary surgeon, became a vet against my grandfather will, because his dog
was run over when he was young.

On the other side, my mom, who wanted to be a human doctor, realized that she
had a very strong affinity for animals. Now she is working in the laboratory of
histology in the UV.

Both have worked together to save hundreds of animals along twenty years. They are my best inspiration.


My maternal grandfather and my cousin are lawyers.

Law is a discipline that provides tools to get people in their daily relationships with
others are governed by laws that allow society to function fairly and orderly.

My grandpa, who became in a lawyer after my mother and her sisters finished their
studies, wanted to study law because he loves to defend the poor and helpless
people, besides he liked to read a lot of books.

My cousin, who is still studying the career, loves her career because she feels
capable of defending whoever who needs, including herself. In a first moment, she dreamed becoming in
doctor but the destiny played with her and let her out of the list of accepted for that discipline. So, for not
losing a year waiting without do anything, she enrolled in the career of law. She told me if she had the
opportunity of changing something, she would do the same over and over again.


My aunt is a pedagogue.

Pedagogy is the science and art of education. Its aims range from the full
development of the human being to skills acquisition.

My aunt, who was thinking in be a teacher since she was little, always dreamed
about help people to learn. She has taught college students since she graduated of
university and really loves her job. For being a good teacher, you must be a patient,
tolerant, enthusiastic, creative, responsible, modest person like my aunt is. Beyond
all those characteristics, you need to love the profession; otherwise you would end
being an embittered teacher and bad with the students.


Me

All my life I said "I would like to be a veterinary like my parents, I love the animals
and I want to help them", but from one moment to another, the math started to
like me. Then, I changed my mind and now I want to be a mechatronic engineer.

Mechatronics, which is a design process that includes a combination of mechanical
engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, control
engineering and computer engineering, is a multidisciplinary field of engineering,
that is to say, it rejects splitting engineering into separate disciplines.

If I were an engineer, I would do the things more efficient because I hate
wasting time. I have worked with numbers my entire life and I know I have the

capacity for doing something huge and innovative that helps people in their daily life. Beside that I love
disarm and arm electronic stuff. So, I believe that my perfect career is the mechatronic engineering.
