Establishing a New Engine Exhibition

A Bit of Background
The Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust is a not-for-
profit association with a special understanding
with Rolls-Royce Plc.
Branches are established at key locations
UK, Derby, Bristol, Coventry, Scottish Branch
USA, Indianapolis
Germany, TBD
What is the RRHT,AB Inc.?
More than an engine collection!
A separate Association with a Memorandum of Understanding
between R-R plc and the Association
the focal point for maintaining and promoting all aspects of
the engineering heritage of Rolls-Royce
An aid to current employment within and future success of R-R
Maintain a comprehensive documentary record concerning the
history of R-R
Maintain safe custody of all materials as are entrusted to its care
Arrange for the display of such materials
Act as the authority on behalf of R-R on maters of preservation for
hardware and records
Record the memories of those persons who have been associated with
R-R and its engineering heritage

Sited at Rolls-Royce Corp in Indianapolis 2 miles
east of the Indianapolis Airport on Airport

The Exhibition is located on the far west end of the
Joint Training Center

Our Vision
The Exhibition will present the legacy, current
production and engineering work and future
technologies at four + levels;
Current Employees and their families
Complement to site training activities
Customer and Supplier visits
External visitors
Public visitors streakers / strollers / stayers
College and Pre-college education
Similar to UK LDC
What is the plan for the future?
Exhibition area room to be complete by years end
Project approved, funded, scheduled
Current area closes in July
Exhibits to be installed over the next several years
AE series and WWII engines are first
All others will be on display, but not staged
Expect about 4 6 months per exhibit
Liberty Engine, 250 / T800, Automotive & Industrial, Technology
exhibit, Prop-Fan, ..
