Instructions
Don't overwrite the template!
Before doing anything, "Save-As" this file under a new name!!
The worksheet is locked.
Use the TAB key to move between fields.
When adding revisions, first unlock the sheet.

There is no password.
Copy the appropriate revision triangle to the clipboard, then paste it where needed.
Use Visio or another drawing program to create the vessel sketch.
Paste it into the designated area; resize to fit.
Right click on the graphic and choose "Format Object".
Click the "Lines" tab; choose "No Line" to get rid of the border.
CODE is normally ASME Sec VIII Div 1
STAMP is normally "yes"
If no jacket, put "N/A" in the jacket column.
Head type could be ASME Dished, 2:1 elliptical, conical, etc.
Any field that is too small: put reference to note (e.g., "Note 1"); then put the information in the Notes section.
Choose the most descriptive materials of construction as possible, using ASTM numbers if known.
Nozzle types include:
RF = raised face
FF = flat face
FNPT = female normal pipe thread
TriClover = sanitary type clamp
or refer to Note
ChemEng Software sells an Excel template called TANKVOL
www.chemengsoftware.com
TANKVOL calculates the filled volume of horizontal and vertical vessels with flat, elliptical, torispherical, F&D,
conical, and guppy heads. Order on-line or by telephone, 24-h/d; credit cards accepted.
