England, Scotland and Wales are part of Great Britain, the largest island of the British Isles. Northern Ireland is part of the second largest island together with the Republic of Ireland, which became independent in 1922. The island of Ireland is also known as the Emerald Isle.

The Union Flag, commonly known as the Union Jack, is the name of the flag of the UK.
It is made of several symbols: the red cross of St. George for England ; the white diagonal cross of St. Andrew on blue ground for Scotland and the red diagonal cross of St. Patrick, on white ground, for Ireland (although now only Northern Ireland is part of the United kingdom). The national flag of Wales is not represented in the Union Flag, because the Principality was already united with England when the first version of the flag appeared.
The National days and emblems are: 1. Englands: a. Patrons Saint - St. Georges; b. National Day - April 23 rd ; c. Nationality English; d. Flower - The Rose.

2. United States of America (4 th July) The United States of America (USA) are located in North America. There are fifty States in the USA. Each State has its capital. Two States are separated from the others: Alaska is in the northwest of Canada and Hawaii is in the Pacific Ocean. The capital city of the USA is Washington, D. C. And the peoples nationality is American. The National day is July 4 th .
The American Flag has 50 white stars on the blue square and 13 red (first) and white alternately stripes. The stars represent the 50 states, and 13 stripes the thirteen British colonies that declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain and became the first states in the Union. The American flag is also known as the "Stars and Stripes"

3. Canada Canada is a very big country in North America. It has two official languages, English and French. The capital is Ottawa, and peoples nationality is Canadian. The National day is July 1 st . The national colours are red and white.
The Canadian flag is red and white with a red maple leaf. That represents a red field with a white square at its centre. In the middle of the white square there is a 11- pointed red maple leaf. The Flag is also known as the Maple Leaf and l'Unifoli.
The maple leaf is a national symbol of Canada.

4. Australia Australia is the only country that is also a continent. Australia is the smallest continent in the world and the sixth-largest country in land area. The original people from Australia were the aborigines. The capital is Canberra, and the peoples nationality is Australian. The national day is January 26 th . The national colours are green and gold.
The flag of Australia is blue field with the Union Jack in the corner (upper and left quarter), and a large white seven-pointed star known as the Commonwealth Star in the lower left quarter. On the right the flag contains a representation of the Southern Cross constellation, made up of five white stars one small five-pointed star and four, larger, seven-pointed stars.
The kangaroo and the koala are unique in Australia.

5. New Zealand New Zealand is a country in the south-west of the Pacific Ocean, consists of 2 large islands: North Island and South Island. The original people of New Zealand were called Maoris. The capital is Wellington, and the peoples nationality is New Zealanders or Kiwis. The national day is February 6 th . The national colour is black.
The flag of New Zealand is blue field with the Union Jack in the corner (upper and left quarter),and four red stars with white borders to the right.
