activities offered in Beverly Hills for your physical

and emotional well-being. Robust recreational
programs, diverse art exhibits, well-maintained
parks, and high-quality events have helped create
a healthy environment for community members to
enjoy all year long. With many opportunities to get
out and stay active, here are a few highlights that
you and your family can look forward to this fall!
One of the hallmarks of living a healthy lifestyle
is eating fresh foods. For two decades, the Beverly Hills Farmers Market
has provided the finest, California-grown fruits and vegetables to shoppers
every week. To commemorate this milestone, Beverly Hills will host a
special Sharing the Bounty 20th Anniversary Dinner under the stars on
September 18th.
For the first time in our Citys history, Beverly Hills has launched a
community-wide reading experience of The Boys in the Boat by Daniel
James Brown. Sponsored by the Library, Human Relations Commission and
Beverly Hills Unified School District, One Book One City is designed to
inspire appreciation for diversity and spark conversations among readers of
all ages. With free events, giveaways, book discussions, and a culminating
author event on October 12, everyone is invited to join this exciting program.
The Beverly Hills artSHOW also returns this fall with more than 240 artists
featured along four blocks of Beverly Canon Gardens on October 18 and 19.
A celebration of the 40th year of the artSHOW will continue.
If you havent checked out our new Roxbury Park Community Center, I
encourage you to stop by. The new facility was completed on time, within
budget, and serves as a wonderful reflection of our healthy community.
The versatile building offers amenities and classes for kids, teens, adults,
families, and seniors. It features beautiful vistas of the park, recreational
programs, upgraded meeting rooms, scheduled Teen Scene time, computer
lab, crafting area, multi-purpose room, exercise studio, and a larger library.
In addition to the Community Center, several grounds improvement efforts
were completed along with a newly constructed public restroom facility.
Later this year, we will celebrate the opening of new playground amenities
with a community event.
This fall, I invite you to enjoy a healthy lifestyle with one of our exciting
programs or family-friendly events. If you are interested in learning more
