Rules: You are permitted a single 8.511 sheet of notes

vice). You must stow all other gear before the test starts.
We will supply blue books. The test has two parts. The
rst is multiple choice recorded on the scantron sheets.
The second requires you to work out problems on pa-
per. The test covers chapter 1, chapter 2, and section 1
of chapter 3. No consultation, other than questions to
invigilators for clarication of problems, is permitted.
