II. SUBJECT DESCRIPTION
This subject focuses on base concept related to obstetric and gynecology, maternity
nursing, nursing care of family during the normal or pathologic childbearing,
obstetric surgical, family planning in the context of family, womens health during
fertility period until menopause. This subject also discusses the reproductive
disorder across the life span and alternation across the maternity continuum. The
teaching methods use lecturer, practice, simulation, demonstration, role play and
assignment.

III. STANDART OF COMPETENCY (UNIT COMPETENCY)
At the completion of this subject, the student should be able:
1. Understand nursing care to pregnant women on the normal condition and
complication.
2. Understand nursing care to labor and birth on the normal condition and
complication.
3. Understand nursing care to post natal in the normal condition and
complication.
4. Understand nursing care to new born in the normal condition and
complication.
5. Understand nursing care to women with reproductive disorder and family
planning.

The learning activities are conduct in class or field with a variety method such,
