Important Instructions for the candidates reporting for admission who

have been provisionally offered a seat in B.Tech Electronics and

Communication Engineering against non reporting and from the
waitlisted candidates based on the branch preferences submitted by the
candidates during the SMVDU direct counseling held on 25/08/2014.

Instructions to the candidates who have been allotted a seat:

[A] Check List: List of Documents to be submitted by the candidates at the time of admission.

1. Admit Card of JEEmain- 2014 (One self attested Photocopy)
2. JEEmain-2014 Rank Card Issued by CBSE (One self attested Photocopy)
3. High School (Class X) Certificate as proof of age (DOB) (Original + One self attested Photocopy)
4. Certificate of qualifying Examination (10+2) (Original + one self attested Photocopy)
5. Mark Sheet of qualifying Examination (10+2) (Original + one self attested Photocopy)
6. Character Certificate/ School leaving Certificate from the institution last attended.
Candidates who are having a gap in their academic career should submit a character certificate dully attested
by a Gazetted Officer. (Original + one self attested Photocopy)
7. Two colored recent passport size photographs
Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates as detailed above for the purpose of verification
failing which admission may be denied and the seat may be cancelled.
The breakup of Fee is given below:

The fee to be paid for obtaining admission against allotment has to be deposited against three different challans
[Amount A i.e, Admission charges = Rs. 1,20,000/-; Amount B for Hostel rent= Rs. 18,000/-; and Amount C for
Mess charges= Rs. 24,000/- (mess charges are tentative and subject to change)]

The above amount [A] i.e, Rs. 1,20,000/-has to be deposited against the challan that can be obtained from the
office of I/c Admissions (UG), SMVDU after verification of original documents. The amount can be deposited
with our Bank(s) [Oriental Bank of Commerce or The Jammu and Kashmir Bank] either in cash or in the form of
a DD drawn in favour of Registrar, SMVDU payable at Katra/ Jammu.

The above amount [B] i.e, Rs. 42,000/- has to be deposited against two separate challans that can be obtained
from the office of Dean of Students, SMVDU after confirmation of admission by the office of I/c Admissions
(UG). The amount can be deposited with our Bank(s) [Oriental Bank of Commerce or The Jammu and Kashmir
Bank] either in cash or in the form of a DD drawn in favour of Registrar, SMVDU payable at Katra/ Jammu
after obtaining a challan(s) from the office of Dean of Students, SMVDU.

Allotment of Single, double or triple occupancy hostel room shall be done by the office of Dean of Students as
per the hostel allotment scheme devised for the purpose. The fee for all the three categories of rooms is same
(Rs. 18,000/-). Further information can be obtained from the office of Dean of Students at 01991-285732.

Important items that students may bring for their use in their hostel
Mattress, Quilt, Bed linen, alarm clock, umbrella, bucket, mug etc

Please bring along all the original documents and certificates. All the candidates are required to report
strictly on 27
th
August, 2014. Candidates who fail to report shall forgo their admission offer and the
seat may be offered to the waitlisted candidates on 27
th
August, 2014 which also is the date of closure
of admissions for the year 2014-15.
