 After the prayer, the facilitator in the name of Mr. Jonel Balaoro started the
introduction about the session. He mentioned that the title of their activity was
Financial Education Session. Before he proceeds, the facilitator asked first the
participants if what are the words or group of words that comes first to their mind
when they hear about financial education.
 The participants responded that they are thinking about financial education as:
business, pag-aaral tungkol sa pera, karagdagang kaalaman, paano ang
pagmanage ng pera, pag-iimpok ng pera, magagandang negosyo. Mga kailangan
at kagustuhan.
 After their responses, facilitators said that the word or groups of words that they
have mentioned are part of the topics that they are going to discuss. Facilitators
have assured the participants that they are going to gain knowledge on the process
of the discussion.
 The facilitator then asked the participants to stand-up for the energizer through the
song entitled “Kumusta Ka?”. The rule is, the group will form a two circle, one
smaller which is inside and the other one is bigger outside. They should have
partners while in the circle facing each other. They will the song kumusta ka!
KUMUSTA KA?
Kumusta ka?
Ikaw ba’y masaya?
Pumalakpak-pumalakpak
Ituro ang paa.
Padyak sa kanan
Padyak sa Kaliwa
Umikot ka-umikot ka
Humanap ng iba!

 After they have sung the song, they are going to turn around and look for another
partner but they will not break the circle. When the two partners face each other
after the song they are going to ask their partner such as their name. favorite food,
likes and dislikes etc then they will introduce their partner to the group and so
on…

 After their presentations, facilitators come up with the summary of the discussion.
He said that every individual has our own value in life. We may value ourselves,
other people, the whole community, the things that surrounds us, and more so the
attitudes of the people.
 After the summary, the facilitator proceeds to their Leveling of their Expectation.
Facilitator ask the participants to draw their hand to the manila paper and put their
names. Inside their hand drawing, they will put their expectation regarding the
activity.

Group I- Team Delicious

Emil- masaya
Cherokee- dagdag kaalaman
Melissa- hindi nakakaantok
Jason- maganda ang pag-uusapan
Randy- cooperation
Mel- mahaba ang pasensiya ng facilitator

Group II- Yummy Team

Stella- di lang puro lecture dapat
Shirlene- more energizer
Francis- maganda
Janssen- masaya
Princess- open ang lahat sa pag-uusapan

 When the leveling of expectations finish, they proceed to the activity 2 which is
the life journey exercise (Road Map of Life). The participants asked to draw in a
piece of paper about their life in the past up to present. Each map should represent
beautiful place (beautiful landmark) and an ugly place (rough road) or a hospital
(road under construction). The map can represent detours and blocks.
 The facilitator asked the participants to explain their individual write-ups to the
groups. Each participant has explained their work and it was found out that most
of them are very emotional especially when they talk about their families.
 Some of the participants have difficulties in sharing their personal journey to the
group especially those problems that they encountered to their family and to the
community.
 Facilitator has process the group discussion due to the difficulties of the
participants to share their work however they are also open to some part of their
work. Some of their situation is too personal for them to discuss to the group.
Facilitator opens the idea that they can approach him if ever they need someone to
talk to or if they are ready to share their personal problems. The participants
agreed to what the facilitator has told them.
 The facilitator again summarized their discussion. He gives thanks first to all the
participants for sharing their journey of life. He said that it is very beautiful to
note about our life in the [past until the present because we can see if to what
extent are we now? San na nga ba tayo? If those things that you mention will
happened again, what will you do?.. These questions are just some of the basis of
their answers and what they can do in the future. They said that they can have
now control because they have already learned from the past and they will not let
it happen again.
 It is also beautiful to know the past of each individual so that we can understand
why he/she act like this or that. We can also know our limitation in having our
relationship to that person.
 When the discussion ends, he asked the participants regarding their learnings and
insight to the activity.
 They said that they learned a lot from this activity.

 The activity finished at around 4:00 in the afternoon with a closing prayer
conducted by Mr. Emil Guanizo.
