Lesson Objective: Learning the pair combinations and what they mean

- Im going to write a couple other words in a new column

- The original word was , UN was Raf , AN was Nasb , IN was Jarr, these are just 3 ways of
saying the word Muslim

- The second column Is Muslim too, but I added something else to it AANI, AYNI AYNI

(2 Muslims)

- When you add AANI AYNI AYNI it means 2.

AANI is 2 Raf, when something is 1 and Raf you just add
AYNI is 2 Nasb, when something is 1 and Nasb you just add
AYNI is also 2 Jarr, when something is 1 and Jarr you just add

When something is 2 and Raf you add

When something is 2 and Nasb you add

When something is 2 and Jarr, you add

*2 Nasb and 2 Jarr are the same

- 2 Nasb and 2 Jarr are the same (AYNI) how do we know which is which? As it could only be either
Nasb or Jarr, it cant be both. This we will learn later on Insha-Allah

Fundamentals of Grammar | Unit 1

- Write the following down.

1. A Muslim travelled
2. I met a Muslim
3. The religion of a Muslim is Islam

What would be the status of Muslim in the first sentence (Whos the doer)? Raf
How would you say the word Muslim in Arabic?

In Arabic how would you say the word Muslim in the second sentence?
(because I is doer and Muslim is detail/Nasb status)

In Arabic how would you say the word Muslim in the third sentence?

(because Muslim is After of /Jarr status

- Now imagine in the above sentences, instead of Muslim, it was 2 Muslims

Remember in 2 Raf, 2 Nasb and 2 Jarr, we dont use (UN AN IN)

- What do we use for 2 Raf? AANI So what would be 2 Muslims in no. 1?

What would be 2 Muslims in no. 2?

2 nasb, as its 2 muslims, in the state of Nasb/Detail

What would be 2 Muslims in no. 3?

It's after of, so its Jarr, therefore its 'AYNI'

- So theres 1Raf, 1 Nasb and 1 Jarr ( - UN AN IN)

- Then theres 2 Raf, 2 Nasb and 2 Jarr (

AANI, AYNI, AYNI)
