Arts and crafts
Acraftisasimilar,relatedconceptandwedousethetermartsandcrafts.Inartsandcrafts,
objectsarecreatedbyhand.Agoodexamplewouldbetapestry.
The visual arts
Thesearetheoneswelookatandincludepaintings,drawingsandphotographs.Does

Therearemanytypesofpictures.Ifitispictureofsomebody,itisgenerallyaportrait.ifitisa
pictureofaplace,itisgenerallyalandscape.Whileapictureofanobjectbyitselfisastilllife.
Threegenresofpicturepossiblyworthknowingareawatercolourwhichispaintedontopaper,
anoilpaintingwhichisnormallypaintedontocanvas(atentlikematerial)andasketchwhich
isnormallyapreparatorydrawing.
Philosophies of art

Younormallyfindartinanartgallery.Youwalkaroundandadmiretheexhibitsinan
exhibition,whilediscussingwhetherthecuratorhasgotthelightingrightandwhetherthat
pictureshouldreallybehungnexttothatone.

philistines.
