Report on Jeevottam Medical Foundation :
Vidyadhiraj Charitable Trust (VCT) is engaged in multifarious human activities such
as providing mainly for the underprivileged, a centre of dignifed living for senior
citizens, healthcare cum hospital facilities / medical aid as ell as educational
facilities by setting up ne age !uality educational programs etc" The trust as
founded on #ovember $%, $&&'" The trust has been instrumental in ma(ing the
community vibrant and united to be a force to rec(on ith in elfare program"
There are three institutions under VCT viz"
)evashram *elief +oundation to carry out human relief activities and provide
economic and psychological support to the elderly" ,resently -. senior
citizens reside here" )ome of them are more than &/ years of age
0eevottam 1edical +oundation to establish comprehensive health care to
provide health counseling, medical advice, treatment and nursing to the
nearby villages" 2e have a rural eye clinic operating on the ground 3oor"
)arasati 4ducational +oundation to underta(e spread and advancement of
general, technical and vocational education in all branches 5 faculties" 2e
have a 4nglish 1edium ,rimary )chool ith audio visual method of teaching
so that children from the villages tal( 4nglish 3uently and get good !uality
education li(e an urban child"
The fund is registered and is non commercial nonproft charitable organization" 6
board of trustees supervises the a7airs of the trust" The trust has a 8oard of
6dvisors comprising of eminent persons" This report is to highlight the activities of
0eevottam 1edical +oundation for the past one year"
Hospital Block
The hospital bloc( as named formally by 99 Vidyadhiraj Teerth )amiji of

constructed to cater to the re!uirements of the old age home as ell as the
surrounding rural villagers" =n brief the activities of the foundation have been as

The :round 3oor of the hospital bloc( has been given to ?a@mi 4ye Trust, a
charitable trust" This Trust is headed by Ar )uhas 9aldipur(ar has been
carrying out a yeomen service in eye care not only for the villagers in the
immediate vicinity, but also in far o7 villages aay from ,anvel"
Typically, a vehicle goes to villages ithin a radius of around $B/ Cms and
pic(s up patients ho are in need of eye care" #ormally they are
accompanied by a healthcare professional to identify those ho are needed
to be ta(en them to the rural hospital" They are then brought to the
hospital and after e@amination by a Aoctor, necessary medications are
prescribed"
Dperations, (mostly cataract) are conducted by !ualifed eye e@pert"
Auring this process, the patients are given food and accommodation in the
clinic" The cost of operation, medicines, food, accommodation etc is totally
borne by ?a@mi 4ye Trust" #o charge of hatsoever nature are collected from
the rural patients"

the old age residents of the 6shram

The school children of *am Crishnaa 6cademy ,rimary school are e@amined every three
months by a !ualifed doctor" 8esides, Ar )ilim(ar also gave prizes to the healthiest child of
each class"
6 dental camp as also organized by the *otary Club for the children
