Faith Gives Substance to Things (All Bible quotations taken from the Amplified Translation. Used with permission.) I. It is Gods will to heal everybody. There are two methods: A. The gifts of the Spirit (for the world). B. By faith (for the church). II. There are laws of the anointing and laws of faith. We are studying the Laws of Faith. III. Law of faith: Your ear is your faith-gate. A. Romans 10:17 But faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. 1. Ekoe is the Greek word for faith = hearing and understanding. 2. You must hear, understand, and then believe the word. A. Luke 5:17 One of those days, as He was teaching, there were Pharisees and teachers of the Law sitting by, who had come from every village and town of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] with Him to heal them. Vs 18: And behold, some men were bringing on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed, and they tried to carry him in and lay him before [Jesus]. Vs 19: But finding no way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him with his stretcher through the tiles into the midst, in front of Jesus. Vs 20: And when He saw [their confidence in Him, springing from] their faith, He said, Man, your sins are forgiven you! Vs 21: And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason and question and argue, saying, Who is this [Man] who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone? Vs 22: But Jesus, knowing their thoughts and questionings, answered them, Why do you question in your hearts? Vs 23: Which is easier: to say, Your sins are forgiven you, or to say, Arise and walk [about]?

Vs 24: But that you may know that the Son of Man has the [power of] authority and right on earth to forgive sins, He said to the paralyzed man, I say to you, Arise, pick up your stretcher and go to your own house! Vs 25: And instantly [the man] stood up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went away to his house, recognizing and praising and thanking God. 1. When the mans faith touched the anointing, he got healed. 2. When someone comes to criticize the Word rather than believe it, they stay sick. 3. Just because there is a healing anointing, that does not guarantee people will receive their healing. 4. Faith has got to connect with the anointing for healings to manifest. IV. Law of faith: Faith is believed (past tense). A. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. 1. Prayer is not enough. Faith is the substance of your stuff. 2. Every decision in a courtroom is made according to evidence. 3. Until youve got revelation, youll never have a revolution. 4. Speak the Word until the Word speaks to you! 5. When you can see it on the inside, it will manifest on the outside. 6. Notice the term hoped for that is PAST TENSE. 7. Faith is seeing what God sees. 8. God never sees you sick, broke, or bound. 9. Faith is the mind of Christ. B. 1 Peter 2:24 He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. C. Mark 11:24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]! 1. Pisto is the Greek word for believed. 2. Faith is BELIEVED past tense! 3. Youve gotta got it, before youre ever gonna get it.

D. Romans 4:17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations, in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things as if they [already] existed. V. Law of faith: Faith has corresponding action. A. James 2:17 So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead). 1. Many Christians are operating in dead faith; they havent added works. 2. If you dont work the works of faith, you will never enter His rest. 3. Ergon is the Greek word for works. a. Corresponding actions or deeds of obedience. b. Without ergon you have dead faith. Vs 18: But someone will say [to you then], You [say you] have faith, and I have [good] works. Now you show me your [alleged] faith apart from any [good] works [if you can], and I by [good] works [of obedience] will show you my faith. 4. Faith is seen through works. B. People can see you dance! They can see your smile! VI. Law of faith: Your faith is released through words. A. Romans 10:8 But what does it say? The Word is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word of faith which we preach. Vs 9: Because if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 1. Faith is in your heart, but it is released through your mouth. 2. Your spoken words are faith containers. 3. Your ear is your faith-gate for faith to enter; your mouth is your faith-gate for faith to exit. 4. Words are like a bullet; faith is like gunpowder. 5. If your words are not faith-filled, you are shooting blanks. B. Mark 11:23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.

C. Back to Romans 4:17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations, in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things as if they [already] existed. 1. When you speak as though it were, it will become. 2. Confession without faith does not move mountains. 3. Activate the healing anointing by speaking things as though they WERE. 4. Dont sign for a lying symptom! Speak the Word only. D. Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light; and there was light. Now read Vs 6, Vs 9, Vs 11, Vs 14, Vs 20, Vs 24, and Vs 26. 1. The pattern is established. 2. God believes and speaks and things are created. 3. God gave the same process to man. 4. A house is never built through plans alone; you need substance. E. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 1. If you believed this scripture, you would attempt all things. 2. Never change your confession of faith. 3. Dont let other people tell you what you can or cannot do. 4. God isnt looking for ability; Hes looking for availability. F. Psalm 91:11 For He will give His angels charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways. G. Psalm 103:20 Bless the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word. 1. When you speak the Word, angels hearken. 2. They dont automatically do Psalm 91; you must speak it. H. Daniel 10:12 Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of your words. I. Daniel 9:23 At the beginning of your prayers, the word went forth, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. 1. Daniel was praying the prophecy of Jeremiah.

2. As a result of Daniels words, the angel had responded. 3. You have to give voice to the Word of God. J. Isaiah 54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. 1. By decreeing this verse, you surround yourself with the shield of faith. 2. Your shield is what stops the weapons from penetrating. 3. You cant go around talking about how the devil is attacking you. 4. Talk victory, not problems. 5. What comes out of your mouth will either build a shield or destroy it. K. James 1:26 - If anyone thinks himself to be religious and does not bridle his tongue, but deludes his own heart, this person's religious service is worthless. 1. Tulsa is the #1 city in the USA for divorce, #2 for child abuse and #4 in gay population, yet this is also the Word capital known as Tulsarusalem. 2. These Word people are apparently not bridling their tongues. 3. A horse changes directions by the bridle. 4. Out of your mouth you create your future.
