Minor Nobles Table

Most contingents during the Wars of the Roses were led by minor nobles. Some of these would
lead merely their own neighbors and supporters, but would be too humble to be portrayed in this
game. However, a few of the more prominent ones might be placed in command of larger
companies. Most gamers would not have this many command stands painted to portray all these
fellows, but some will have a few of them. Furthermore, in cases when a magnate has few peers
with him to make up his ward commanders as Salisbury did at !lore Heath", he could depend on
these nobles to fill these gaps.
#herefore, when recruiting Well$Wisher contingents during a game, any one with a red %Ma&
stand included will allow that player to pick out one of these nobles, if he is shown as possibly
present in the 'ounty, and of the affinity of the Magnate raising the troops. (f there is no one of
his affinity, but someone who is uncommitted to any cause, the player may roll to see if he can
call on this sort of noble.

heirs is present. (f not, or if the Minor noble is uncommitted, then his activation must be
diced for. Roll -dA, and add any applicable influence modifiers that the host@s magnates
may have in that shire they are cumulative in this case". if the number is B or higher, the
noble Coins up.
