Job urpose
!o carr" out repairs and maintenance to residential and ot#er public building in all areas
of t#e boroug# to t#e $or% sc#edules provided&
'(amples of some of t#e main duties for "our trade are s#o$ in t#e )ppendices belo$&
*n addition to t#ese tas%s operatives are e(pected t#at +obs be completed in one visit
$#ere possible including underta%ing supplementar" tas%s covering different trade areas
as re,uired&
&ain 'ccountabilities
-& !o use and ta%e-care of all e,uipment and materials issued to "ou for t#e
underta%ing of "our duties and to compl" $it# Healt# and Safet" re,uirements
and code of conduct&
.& !o carr" out general operations as Carpenter on a multi trade basis and assist
$it# ot#er trades as re,uired and $it#in t#e relevant timescales&
/& !o ensure t#at $or%s are carried to t#e relevant standard and are left clear of
debris and $aste after t#e operations #ave ta%en place&
4& !o underta%ing general labouring $or% e&g& during #eav" sno$ on be#alf of t#e
Council as re,uired
0& !o ensure all mac#iner" and materials are correctl" used and maintained&
1& !o ensure "ou maintain a minimum s%ill levels on a multi-trade basis, %eeping up
to date $it# multiple trade tec#ni,ues and practices as re,uired
2& !o communicate $it# t#e public in a polite and courteous manner, %eeping t#em
up to date on t#e progress of $or%s as re,uired&
3& !o underta%e training as agreed $it# "our manager in order to broaden t#e s%ill
