ur rulers told us many lies as they dragged us to war


in Iraq. One of the most blatant was that it was a
humanitarian intervention, for the good of the Iraqis.
We always argued that the Iraqis must be free to
decide their own future. But instead the occupiers
trashed the place, stoked ethnic tensions
and helped prop up a corrupt regime.
Now we are seeing the bitter fruits of
this so-called nation-building. Come
