She didnt seem to
understand
Maria is 20, single with twins born in early May. Her
boyfriend is 23. Maria listened when Lea shared the gospel
with her, but she didnt seem to understand. She
believed that she would go to heaven because she was a
good person. Lea explained that this does not get a
person into heaven. She gave Maria a Bible and was told
that she would read it. Pray for Marias salvation and
thank the Lord for volunteers like Lea, who boldly share
the truth of Scripture.

Linda is 32. She reconsidered her decision to abort after
viewing fetal models and talking with sidewalk
counselors outside an abortion facility in Montclair. She
changed her mind on abortion after viewing the Harder
Truth video at Gateway.

Linda told Evon (a Gateway counselor in Irvington) that
her boyfriend is abusive. He makes $100,000 a year and
is the father of her four children, but refuses to support
them. She has had seven other children, is now pregnant
(12 weeks), had two miscarriages and one abortion.
Were thankful that God gives us opportunities to present
the gospel of grace. She stated that although she goes to
church she doesnt understand about being saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been
saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it
is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one
may boast.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the
truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through me.
Titus 3:5 He saved us, not because of works done
by us in righteousness, but according to his own
mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of
the Holy Spirit.

Now she understands
J ulie, is 37 years old, married with four children.
She and her husband attend church but she wasnt
sure if she were saved. While speaking with Evon,
she rededicated her life to Christ. Now she
understands!
