Instructor: Credit hours 3 Course Description Organizational behavior is a field of study that investigates the impact that individuals, groups, and structure have on behavior within organizations, for the purpose of applying such knowledge toward improving an organizations effectiveness. This course focuses on such topics as leadership skills, personality, interpersonal communication, motivation, team building organizational change and culture. Learning Outcomes The course is designed to develop your knowledge and skills in the field of Organizational Behavior. Teaching Methodology The class will be conducted in a participatory environment where the class instructor will lead discussions, and students will be encouraged to participate and ask questions at the end of each class session. Students will be expected to read the assignments in advance. This will be tested through the extent and frequency of students participation in each class session. Books prescribed: Organizational Behavior, by Stephen P. Robbins latest edition.
Reference books: Fundamentals of organizational behavior by Carrell,Jennings and Hervin. Fred Luthans:O.B,MC Graw Hill Inc 2003. The course will also comprise of readings and articles from other sources, such as business magazines, national dailies / journals, classics in OB and management, popular media, best sellers etc. These will be announced in class and material will be made available
