Visi
establishing the classroom environment and
preparing the learning opportunities that
facilitate students use of technology to learn,
communicate, and develop knowledge
products; consequently, it is critical that all
classroom teachers are prepared to provide their
students with these opportunities. Teacher
preparation programmes must provide
technology-rich experiences throughout all
aspects of the trainning programmes (UNESCO,
2002. h. 58).
Misi
If teachers are expected to integrate
technology into teaching and learning,
then training given to them should include
training of skills on integrating technology
in their teaching. Courses or training
should be geared towards imparting skills
on using computer technologies in the
actual teaching. They must be task
specific and not just mere computer
literacy (Tan et al., 2002, h.65)

Pengetahuan saintifik: sebarang himpunan
pengetahuan atau ilmu yang telah teruji dan
dapat dinyatakan dalam bentuk satu set prinsip-
prinsip am.
Teknologi bukan semata-mata alat dan
mesin sahaja. Ia merangkumi proses dan
idea. Kekuatannya terletak terutamanya
pada proses dan idea, manakala kejayaan
untuk mencapai sesuatu maksud atau
objektif terletak pada alat (Heinich.
Molenda & Rusell, 1969).
Alat pula merupakan pemankin ke arah
mencapai kejayaan.

TP ialah proses yang kompleks dalam
menganalisis keperluan pendidikan secara
sistematik, saintifik dan rasional bertujuan
untuk mereka bentuk dan
mengaplikasikannya secara sepadu idea,
tenaga, sumber bahan, kaedah dan
tatacara untuk mempertingkatkan
keberkesanan proses pengajaran dan
pembelajaran (PTPM, 1988).
TP ialah aplikasi media, sistem,
pendekatan, dan teknik ke arah
pencapaian pengajaran dan pembelajaran
yang berkesan (BTP, 1991).

The field of instructional design and technology
encompasses the analysis of learning and
performance problems, and the design,
development, implementation, evaluation, and
management of instructional and non-
instructional processes and resources intended
to improve learning and performance in a variety
of setting, particularly educational institutions
and the workplace (Reiser, 2001).
Cabaran
The challenge confronting our educational system is how
to transform the curriculum and teaching-learning
process to provide students with the needed skills to
function effectively in this dynamic, information-rich, and
continuously changing environment by reconfiguring
how teachers and learners gain access to knowledge,
ave the potential to transform teaching and learning
processes. To meet these challenges, schools must
embrace the new technologies and appropriate the new
ICT tools for learning. They must move toward
transforming the traditional paradigm of learning.

Isu Teknologi Dalam Pendidikan
It is in the pre-service stage that they are
most open to leraning to infuse technology
in instruction a more successful
approach is to provide on-site training in
school that addresses the concerns of
individual teachers and is supported by
leadership within the school (UNESCO,
2002, h. 36).
Integrasi Teknologi dalam
Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran
Phase 1 Using Technology as a Tool
for Professional Productivity
Phase 2 Facilitating and Delivering
Instruction Using Technology, and
Phase 3 Integrating Technology into
Student Learning.
Kesimpulan
Teknologi harus diserap ke dalam
seluruh program pendidikan guru.
Teknologi harus diperkenalkan mengikut
kontek.
Pelajar harus melalui pengalaman dalam
environmen pembelajaran disokong
teknologi yang inovatif di dalam program
latihan guru mereka
