BSEd in Physical

Education in the
Philippines
The Bachelor of Science in Education major in
Physical Education program (BSED-PE) is designed
to provide students with a strong foundation on the
concepts of Physical Education. The program aims to
produce graduates who are able to work as high
school physical education teachers.
Admission requirements for
the BSEd in Physical Education
program in the Philippines
o Must have the original and photocopy of the
high school report card (form 138)
o Must have recommendation from High school
principal and guidance counsellor
o Must have most recent medical and dental
health record
o Must take and pass the college entrance
examination
o Must have a copy of NSO certified birth
certificate
o Must have a certificate of good moral character
o Must have a copy of the honourable dismissal
o Must have a copy of the high school diploma
o One 2x 2 copy of latest photo

Duration of the BSEd in
Physical Education program in
the Philippines

The BSEd in Physical Education program takes 4
years to complete.

An on-job training or internship is done on the third
and fourth year level of the program where students
are exposed to both in-campus and out-campus
teaching. The internship will last for at least 1 month
on every year level.

Licensure examination to take
in order to practice as a High
School Physical Education
teacher in the Philippines

A graduate of BSEd in Physical Education needs to
pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers in
order to practice the as a teacher in the Philippines.
The examination is given by the Board of
Professional Teachers under the supervision of
the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Requirements for the
Licensure Examination for
Teachers

o Must be a holder of a degree in BSEd in Physical
Education with academic credits on required
subjects from a university recognized by the
Philippine government.
o Must have a copy of the Transcript of Records
with Special order and date of graduation with
remarks FOR BOARD EXAMINATION PURPOSES
ONLY
o Must not have any case filed or pending for
moral turpitude in any court in the Philippines
that involves moral turpitude
o Must have an original copy of community tax
certificate (cedula)
o Must have a copy of the NSO authenticated birth
certificate
o Must be of good health and sound mind
o Must be of good moral character
o Must be a Filipino Citizen

this course is a practical course because here in
philippines we need a lot of teachers. its so fulfilling
when you see that your student learn a lot from you
aside on what you teach in textbook.
